I'm 17 and i have some muscle but not a lot. I would like to have a six pack, reasonable pecs and a more muscular butt. There is no gym close to my home, however. Does anyone know how to gain muscle at home. I have dumbells.

What weight do your dumbbells go to and do you have a weight bench?

There's a bunch of things you can do. I recommend cardio as the base for EVERYTHING. Run. Run. Do some more Running. This will get you "in shape" faster than anything.

Oh, and you can't burn fat by doing anything other than cardio, at least not in significant and efficent quantities.

For muscle, use google. There's a whole host of things just waiting for you. Try the book "Starting Strength". Also, for an extreme basic do things I like to call Interval Repetition.

10 push-ups.
25 Sit-ups
20 squats

15 push ups
35 situps
30 squats

20 push ups
50 situps
40 squats.

Do the full set once, then the first two minisets, then the first two minisets. If you can't do that, then only do the intervals that you can do. For instance, if you can't get to the third, do the second three times and the first twice.

Cardio is key. However you can use your own bodies weight as resistance. It's fun as well. This is handy with squats. Also so push ups as well as sit-ups. I like the medicine ball between the knees for my crunches, it develops your abs quickly if performed well.
If you would like some tips, just PM me. I will be glad to help you.

Also to add to my above post do wide grip pull ups. They are very good mass gainers

"Never underestimate the power of wide-grip pull-ups to develop width and size."
