I'm a REAL gamer. I don't call games out on their genre. I play them if they're good.

Generally I flock to FPS games, such as Halo, CoD, etc. I also like games like The Sims, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Minecraft, Portal, and Kingdom Hearts.

Really, if it interests me, I'll play it. Hell, I even play sports games every once and a while.

I am terrible at those war games. It's a joke. So I stick to sports ones.. Even though I'm pretty bad at those too.

Connor reminded me of my RCT games.
Ah yes, RCT2, a great game.
RCT1 is pretty good too, except it's a little "primative"(1998 game).
And RCT3 is meh.

CoD4 Halo 3 MW2 Fallout NV

Multiplayer for MW2 is pretty fun, but the single player campaign was way too short. Even MW1's single player was pretty short. :/

Really, if it interests me, I'll play it. Hell, I even play sports games every once and a while.

I don't generally go for FPS games (though FPS is my favorite genre depending on how good the physics are designed), but I do enjoy simulators like Connor here. RPGs are pretty sweet too (Fallout and Elder Scrolls mostly).

I'm a REAL gamer. I don't call games out on their genre. I play them if they're good.

I play BFBC2 because I'm really good at it, otherwise I like racing games a lot such as GT5 and just general go fuck the world games like grand theft auto and just cause 2.

The only sports games I like are the FIFA games.

Right that's why half the posts are "FPS" or "MMORPG". Next time you try trolling, do it better.

Wasn't trolling. Can't people like a certain genre of games? It's not like people here were saying "I play FPS and NOTHING ELSE", and besides, what's wrong with that? Honestly, if you call yourself a "real" gamer, for chrissakes, you need to get a life.

To be fair we all know that the COD sotrylines are short because we tend to assume call of duty is for online play as most people ignore the campaign

I would say its not short and some of the campaigns but it is not the longest one i have ever played

Oh shit this guy is LEGIT.

Just to add onto what I posted before, my video game horizon is spread very wide (...lol) I play games from Ape Escape 3 (Yes, Ape Escape 3) to something like... Well, something very bloody with alot of gore. Racing games are pretty fun, I like "arcade" race games though. For example, Mario Kart or that one game Blur. I'm a huge RPG fan. Zombie games are always fun. Forever I've wanted there to be a zombie RPG, where you actually have to go out into the streets, into other stores/house/wherever and collect your supplies, then go back to your house and build a defence (you could also move to another location) And you actually go out and do these things. Kind of like a total free roam zombie RPG. That would be amazing.

Poison... You have given new meaning to my entire existence.

Kidding, but a zombie MMORPG would be AMAZING.

From my experience, the harder difficulty you play the single player campaign will depend on how long you play it. I'm trying to get through the highest difficulty for MW1 right now, and it's hard. The story, plot, and characters are all great. But beyond that, the campaigns are pretty standard linear level games.

...a total free roam zombie RPG. That would be amazing.

>Futuristic, so the programmers have something to work with
>Huge amount of variation between zombies
>Hack and slash 3rd Person
>Massive crafting system

>A "Fallout" like gamestyle pretty much, but MMO-ified. Bethesda, I'm looking at you.

Anywho, I'm looking forward to Skyrim and Guild Wars 2. And an RTS that will finally top AoE2.

I could easily see Bethesda doing the publishing. Id Software would be a great developer when it comes to actual game creation. I wouldn't really see it as futuristic, but definitely something set in the not so distant future (think 2020s). And actually, Fallout is going to get the MMO treatment either next year or 2013.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Give them some leeway.

Speaking of Id, did you ever play Wolfenstein? :D

But even though I've never played Fallout, if it gets the MMO makeover I am buying it off the shelves in an instant. Kind of like what I'd do if they came out with an Elder Scrolls game. Hell, anything MMO from Bethesda I'd lap up like a dog.

Are you kidding? I was raised on Id games. Everything from Quake to Doom to Wolfenstein (though I haven't played the new one they put out a while back). I think Id is still massively overlooked for a lot of things. John Carmack basically made the FPS genre. Yet games like CoD get all the credit for it.

But even though I've never played Fallout, if it gets the MMO makeover I am buying it off the shelves in an instant. Kind of like what I'd do if they came out with an Elder Scrolls game. Hell, anything MMO from Bethesda I'd lap up like a dog.

Well, since the MMO for Fallout will be totally online, I suspect that Bethesda will get some fees in there. I'm not even sure if it's being developed by Bethesda or Interplay (the company which made the original Fallout games). Having Fallout in an MMO environment with the Gamebryo engine that Bethesda has used for the past few years would be a large leap. I hope it gets through, though that seems like asking for a lot (too many legal issues).

Well, I like a game from almost all genres...
Sports: My all time favorite is Blitz 2000 haha. But Fifa is what I play most.
RPG: Demon Souls I devoted 2 months memorizing the game's mechanics haha and TES is always great too.
FPS: Halo has been my baby for years up until Halo:Reach. They lost me with that. Forged for years and years. It was great and Halo 2 is so memorable for me.
RTS: Warcraft III:Frozen Throne is fantastic for online play and custom games.
Starcraft also fits into this category.
MMORPGS: LoTRO is also fantastic, but I hardly play it anymore.
Action: Mirror's Edge is one of my favorites.
And so on... haha
