Well, I kinda have a problem that I started looking about something and i end up with 15 tabs about other topics  and I was looking information on the internet and I randomly found out this ...

Innate bisexuality, is a term introduced by Sigmund Freud, that expounds all humans are born bisexual but through psychological development (which includes both external and internal factors) become monosexual while the bisexuality remains in a latent state.

I just wanted to see how you react to this or what do you think about it since I find it very odd and interesting at the same time.

that actually makes a lot of sense.

I would actually say the exact opposite just because people don't grow up as a child curious and then during puberty choose between genders. the process is flipped.

I inherently dislike most of Freud's work, however, this does have some merit. I think there's more heterosexual bias and that leads to less of the other sexualities. Possibly.

I understand, but remember, he said "through psychological development (which includes both external and internal factors)". So I think there are more heterosexual because of the external factor

Yes, but what caused that external factor in the first place?

the need to reproduce...

Exactly. Sort of. that need is internal, and therefore manifests itself in other people as well as yourself.

I wouldn't consider the need to reproduce a valid factor. a gay guy and a lesbian woman can hook up to have a child without being attracted to each other.

Point. But, if there is an innate "need" or instinct to reproduce, wouldn't it's manifestation be considered a factor (assuming that said need exists). 97% is mostly heterosexual, so the gay guy and lesbian woman could just be exceptions to the rule?

well that's really what I meant it as: an exception. but I don't think the need to reproduce shapes someone's sexuality. I'm sure gay people want to reproduce just as much as straight people and they can by using the aforementioned exception, but I'd assume most dont because of their sexual nature.
