View Full Version : Can Puberty Come in Waves?

Im 17 right now, about to turn 18. A while ago (about 4 years ago, it took not even 6 months) i went threw what i thought was most of puberty, i got the huge balls, the average (5.5-6.2) inch dick, a lower voice and things of that nature. But... over the last year i've just started getting facial hair, as well as the happy trail, and more around my nip's and **very little** around the neck part of my face. So my question is, if these things are just coming in now, is it possible to have like a second "wave" of puberty and have other things change as well, like a deeper voice, more easy muscle gains, etc.? or is the hair growth just late?

It seems yes is the normal answer, can anyone elaborate as to why? (or a link of some sort would be helpful)

I think it's different for everyone, but generally yes it does come in waves. I don't think you'll find a link describing too much about it. In fact, I read somewhere that scientists still don't even know why humans go through puberty since it apparently doesn't happen in any other animal.

Oh wow that's interesting. I'll have to do some research on that.

According to this link... And a few more on google, animals do. But that's really irrelevant to the main question haha, I think I got my answer but I wonder how many people still agree?

I hate to break you the news, but you'll NEVER stop growing hair in different places. That's not totally puberty though. Look at older men, they have hair growing on their ears, nose, hands...they didn't have it when they were 17...but they have it now!!

Actually no, it does not actually comes in waves, basically everything happens concurrently, but its whether if you noticed the changes or not.
There are some in which you take note of, while others you dont, hence you get the illusion that it comes in waves.

Its an ongoing process which is not going to end untill it ends.
And yes, it will be a long journey.

Cheers
*All za best*
