This is inspired by one of my favorite movies Crash

Scene: You are sexually assaulted by a police officer one night coming home from a party. You decide to press charges the next day
The next day You are driving and you get into this really bad car accident and the same cop that sexually assaulted you, saves your life.

Do you still press charges?

depends. sexually assaulted and sexually abused are different.

if he sexually abused you, then yes you still do.

if he just kind of played around with you and you didn't like it, then i think you have a long talk with yourself and then you will know what you should do. i honestly wouldnt report him for that. Besides, i think girls should just suck it up if they are being sexually harassed...to be honest. If a girl sexually harassed me, i'd just forget about it and i wouldnt go overboard on it. but everyone has their limits so its a personal choice

It depends on how he sexually assaulted me. Im not comfortable with anything sexual so most likely, I would say something but if it wasnt realyl major, if he just touched my butt or something - then I would try to forget about it, but if it was more than that, than I would report it. I dont think he should get away with anything really, what he did is not right and I dont think I should have to just suck it up and forget about it if I didnt want it.

But it just mostly depends on what exactly he did.

no girl/woman should have to be sexually assaulted. the reason why guys are not sexually assaulted is because they are always able to physically remove themselves from a situation if they feel uncomfortable, with girls they can be overpowered and forced into things they dont like because of fear of being hurt.

If it was, as Jess said, a grope of my arse or something as minor then I wouldn't press charges. But if any clothes were removed and things were forced on me I would not stop pressing charges. No one deserves to be treated like a piece of meat.

Besides, i think girls should just suck it up if they are being sexually harassed...to be honest.

How insensitive can you get? I have never heard anything so ridiculous. To say that a girl should just "suck it up" when being sexually harrassed is insensitive. No one deserves harrassment of any kind. To say this is almost like justifying it and saying "just get over it, who cares if you are scared to go back to work/home, just get over it"

I would still press charges. Just because he saved my life doesn't mean he's no longer a sicko.
