Hi there.. so this forum is just for my poem's and people's critiques and enjoyments and such. I hope you like my writing!
Untitled:
The ink of a pen
Scrawled across blank pages
Details a voice
One for the ages
Yet as the voice wavers
The ink begins to smear
Creating a black void
Among pleasant words
Cigarette Stare:
You lure them in with a cigarette stare
They whisper sick secrets with a smirnoff air
You trade one night of sex, uneased
For a little bitch change and an STD
You risk your life just scraping by
But you dont complain, you're trying to die
So night after night because you just dont care
You lure them all in with a cigarette stare
Tightrope Walking:
Balance strong
Balance light
Keep your grip
Hold on tight
This is life
No safety nets
Watch your step
They're making bets
Prove them wrong
Prove you're right
Balance strong
Balance light
Test Subject:
Pace back and forth
Within this air-tight box
Passing the hours
By thinking
How to get out?
Now that is the question
Drive your mind numb
In an attempt
Eyes watch you
A study of numbers and facts
We are simply statistics
A ratio to create
Insanity is me
My body is limp
My eyes wander, lost
My voice, inexistant
I am simply a number
Scrawled across a paper
Human Parasites:
Starving and puking
Skeletal hands
Parasitic behavior
Watching Death as he stands
Minds connected as one
Thoughts sparse yet vile
Mouths dirty with blood
And the substance of bile
Fasting and empty
Lost and confused
Memories plenty
With pain and abuse
Oddly emotioned
Attached at the hip
Feed off one another
To reassure ourselves quick
Questioning Identity
Im trapped inside a cocoon
The shell of a drug addict
The home of an alcoholic
The body of a user
An abuser
My finger's frantically search
For a crack in the walls
Any means of escape
My brain is filled up
Flooding with panic
Fracturing my skull
I twist my broken thoughts
My vision blurs
Where is the spirit of my past?
Where is that light?
My world has turned black
Cold winds surround me
My bones snap with winter's frost
Im merely a shattered reflection
Who lost her life to a prison of substance.
Haha sorry it's so long but those are some of my favorites. :)
