I have a fast metabolism; I can be consuming everything in sight and still only gaining a teensy amount. The scales say I weigh a few lbs more and people tell me I look healthier, but my measurements aren't that changed and I can't see much difference in my body.
my stomach bloats a lot
I've heard peanut butter is a good option?
Also been drinking full fat milk..biscuits..cake..anything I can get my hands on
I really want to go back to college a size 8 [that's uk sizes] I'm fed up of being tiny and bones. And everyone seeing just a little slip of a girl. I want to be the short cute shapely girl with boobs and a butt.
I look too young and I just want some actual curves. Like these girls:

Well, I'm a UK size 8 and I'm 5'4" and I'm enormous. Be happy with what you've already got.

No, because I'm underweight by about a stone and that's not healthy. Being 5 ft 2 and a size 8 will [U]not make me enormous.
so by that logic I really doubt you're enormous at 5 ft 4, maybe by the standards of someone with an eating disorder. But to majority of people, they'd percieve you as slender/thin.
That besides, if you weren't going to offer any tips relevant to my thread I'm not sure why you commented.

Did you already go to a nutricionist ?

well in UK, you have to go your GP then I think they can refer you to a nutritionist. But I'd rather crack it on my own, I'd feel silly asking how to gain weight when my BMI isn't horrific [16]

I agree being underweight is horrible luckly your not as bad as me.
You see I dont starve myself but yet again I dont eat much.
The best thing to do and this is what a nutritionist would say is too eat a healthy ammount of food each day and increase the ammount of food you eat at every meal and try not to do too much excersise.
Hope you gain a little weight sometime soon

I don't really know how to gain weight, per say. Although, I would have to agree with Derri, if I were to give you my opinion. But being underweight isn't always unhealthy if you're not starving yourself to get there. Often times, having an "underweight" bmi if it's where your body naturally keeps it is just as healthy as a "normal" bmi. That being said, if you really want to gain weight, don't eat unhealthy food to do it. You don't want to be gaining weight unhealthily by eating food that's bad for you. Also, even though they say to avoid exercising, if you lift weights and such, you will gain muscle weight and crunches and such will make your measurements go up. Sorry if this isn't any help.

First things first, kudos to you. You're amazing. I'm so proud of you. I just wanna cuddle you so bad.
Well... For me I just sorta binged a lot... But haha, that's probably not what you want :) Well, most people say "5 small meals" but for gaining weight, I'd say "5 meals". I'm not asking you to gouge everything but... My nutritionist made me sip avocado. Yeep... You heard that right haha. Like my mum'd blend lotsa avocado and I'd just sip it throughout the day. I think she blended like... 3? With honey. I cried when they made me drink that but after a while... Well... It was okay. It actually tastes pretty good.
And use oil. Since you're still underweight, your tummy can't cope with volume so oil, butter. The works xD People used to stare at me, this stick, eating loads of food and just be like "Wth..." lol. It was kinda hilarious.
And eat what you love! That's the best part haha. If you like cookies, take 'em, cakes, sure, ice-cream, why not? There is no "unhealthy weight gain". My nutritionist said "eat whatever the hell you want" because you can't be healthy at the weight you're at. You can eat healthily but until you're heavier, you won't be healthy, no matter how many whole grains, fruits and veggies you take.
Contrary to popular belief, don't take high fibre foods during the regaining stage. It will only bloat you up even worse. And yeah, peanut butter's good. Forget all the diets, all that low-carb crap and one not. Try to resist counting calories. My nutritionist's moto: Don't think. Just eat.
After a while it WILL get better :) Trust me. And my boobs and butt's coming back :D WOOOTTT!!!! Size As were too small for me but now I'm like a B so I'm pretty happy! Keep it up, Cat! You're doing A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.

@Derri
thanks for commenting. I know its so hard when your stomachs used to only a tiny bit of food it makes me feel sick eating alot. But now my appetite is growing the more I've been eating. Hope you gain weight too
@screamtobeheard
I know its easy to try and eat a lot of junk food. I'm trying to keep it varied, its such the most calorific foods are junk food. Thanks for commenting (:
@FaithAndTrust
*internet hug*! thank you
wow 5 meals! I will try my best.
I've asked my mum to buy avacadoes this week! so I'll try that for definite. Wish me luck im a fussy eater but I'll make myself!
I've been doing good about calorie counting, mainly because my friends mum went to the phillipines and brought me a load of food back and none of the packets have calories on! I haven't restricted/purged in ages. About as long as I haven't SH-ed [3/4 months].
I'm so jealous!! i want to be a B cup [I'm A]. I bet youre looking really good you know! But slowly feel I'm filling out. If people have been saying i look healthy but cant put their finger on why then at least I know foods helping with my skin or hair or something.
Stay strong Z youre doing amazingly well and i bet you look sso much better (: (:

Thanks, Cat. :) You're really amazing. Really, really amazing. I gotta admit, I'm not too happy about putting back all my weight and some more but... It's part of the process :) Your body'll tend to cling onto the food or make you eat tons for a while but it'll regulate itself after a year or 2. I still look better than when I was BONE THIN. So I'm really happy. And the best part is, I feel great. I can run, swim, laugh, talk, study, live.
And I'm going to go to this remote area where the kids are starving and they have to walk miles to get to school next holiday. On the same month as my birthday. We're gonna have to cook and care for them and I have the energy to! So happy about that. Honestly, I don't care as much about how I look now. I think curvaceous people are pretty good looking ;) And it's what's inside that matters. There's so much more to us than the way we look.
Life is pretty good :) We'll never, ever go back there. A wise person once said that once you reach rock bottom, you'll have nowhere else to go but up.

I tried the avacado and honey! Its so thick and creamy! I really dont like it but im trying to eat it now haha. Wow im sure the experience with the less fortunate will really be an eye opener, its great that youre doing that. Yes curvaceous people are pretty good looking. I watched twilight last night, kristen stewart isnt 'curvaceous' exactly but shes healthy looking and i thought it looked really good!
"here's so much more to us than the way we look." amen (:

Sorry? I don't understand what you're saying

I don't understand what he's saying either... Lol.
And I'm so proud of you! Did I mention I was proud of you? Cause I really am! I struggled so bad with the bloating and avocado too. It helped to lie on my side. I dunno why. And a hot pack works too! And I just wrote a poem :) Check it out? It applies to us.

My ex-friend(now known as Complete Douchebag) had a fast metabolism and could pretty much eat a whole medium size pizza and still be skinny. There's nothing really wrong with being slightly underweight until your doctor tells you to gain weight because it's unhealthy to be so skinny... Then again my doctor freaked the fuck out when I lost 2 pounds from one checkup to another even though my BMI was still freakin 22..

I wouldn't get too hung up on it hun. You're adorable the way you are quite honestly, I looked at your blog and the post with all the pictures with you and you truly are. :)
The only reason I have trouble gaining weight is because I'm scared to. I never thought about my metabolism though, I'm not very sure, I've screwed with it so much I don't know whether it's fast or slow. The anorexia and smoking doesn't really help it. Mainly you'll want to look at approximately how much calories you burn in a day, and eat more than you burn. You don't necessarily just have to eat shit food, just more of it. So you're eating more than you burn. While losing weight is the adverse of that, eating less than you burn. The struggle is not gaining or losing weight itself, it's the journey along the way.
