View Full Version : Not fat, but stomach sticks out?

So...I'm 5ft 6 and about 115Ib's....but for some reason, I don't have a flat stomach like all the other girls....it sticks out, alarmingly I would say. I have diabetes and over used my stomach to inject, to the point where it got 'lumpy', however I have not used my stomach for several years....so why does my stomach stick out? It's embarrassing because I feel fat, yet I wouldn't describe myself as that overweight. I would guess my stomach looks kind of like the picture in the left, but maybe perhaps not quite as badly as that.

I was wondering if this was normal, if it is because I'm a teen, if it's simply because I AM fat?
And also, how can I get rid of it? Many thanks!

it is normal.. ive seen real skinny girls with a bit of stomach. you are most definitely not fat.
maybe try some exercising like some crunches?

Situps and crunchs in about 3 weeks of doing a few everyday it should flatten out. Worked for every girl on my cross-country team.

Don't do crunches, I've been told those are absolutely horrible and when I used to do them, all I got out of it was a sore back.

Instead, try doing a plank exercise...

I think its normal... try crunches, i dont think your overweight at all its just the way your body is.
