Ok so i have been using Quicktime player for viewing video clips uploaded from a camera. For some reason i can't work out why all of a sudden whenever i try and play a clip now it is muted. I have checked the basic things like volume controls etc, tried uninstalling and re-installing and checking for software updates and nothing has worked. Until a couple of weeks ago it worked fine so i have no idea whats up.

So my questions are any idea why this might happen? and also, if so how to fix it?

Have you tried changing your sound output settings while quicktime has been open? For instance, changing from 44Khz to 192Khz?

Have you tried a different player? Maybe Windows Media Player could work, or even WinAmp.
