I hate to say it, but yes. The brand name of clothes, shoes, and accesories do matter to me. I will get some things that aren't from an expensive or popular brand, but I will look for what I want in those stores first.

Not at all. But if I like something from one of the big name companies, I'll buy it. Just not for the name. Not all of my clothes are branded though, a lot of them are just thrifted.

Sort of matters. Some brands I just like the style more than others, or they're way better quality. But as far as being trendy or anything, I don't worry about that

Not really. The only big named things people here wear is tracksuits, so it doesnt really matter. D;

If I find something that I believe is the almost the exact replica to a brand name, and $40 cheaper? Hell yes I'm buying it. The only thing I honestly ever buy in brand names are shoes. I think the $60 shoes last longer than the knock off $5 shoes.

I dont care that much for brand name.. i do care for quality though. and most of the time branded stuff have better quality but i personally wont buy things just for the name/ to impress people.. thats just stupid imo.

It does matter sometimes. You want to look like nice and somewhat in style so a certain brand or name can make the difference. Some brands are made a little better (jeans & shirts, outerwear , shoes, sneakers)
Then again it's stupid to wear to nothing but brand names. U can mix and match an outfit and still look good and not worry about spending outrageous prices for similiar stuff.

They are just so expensive and my parents won't buy me them so I have to get them all. In my mind, they are Exactly The Same as any other brands!! Its just having that little Nike symbol or that Air Jordan symbol. I could go and get an under armour shirt for 50$ or I could go and get the cheap brand that feels exactly the same for 20$.
I like wearing them, but I don't think they are any better than anything else

Not at all.
I have very few brand name things in my wardrobe, and when I do shop, I buy cheap and on sale.
Its not a lack of money or anything, I just dont see the point in wasting tons of money on a designer top when I could get one I like just as much for WAY less.

Clothes, fuck no I hate any viable markers of what brand it is.
Makeup, meh. All eyeliner is really the same - no, really it has to be because of the conditions it's made in - with different packaging so I find the cheepest I can in the color/style I want it. (I like the big eye pencils :P)
Shoes. Ok, I like my converse. They're the only sneakers I wear. Formal/boots whatever brand has the style/size i want.

I guess it depends who you are around. When I go to school (I live in a small Oklahoma Town BTW) I would wear a brand name shirt like Armani Exchange, or Burberry and no one would know what that is. It really depends on who your with or where you are. Or who you want to impress. So it's basically " You spend money you don't have to impress people you don't like.

No it doesn''t matter to me, products without recognised brands can be just as good if not better quality than those that do. I don't usually like going with the trend and with what everyone is wearing.

Brand names matter to me because of the quality and sophistication they often have. The high-street stores, do too much trends all in the same piece, making it look like a frilly frock of no use to the simple aesthetist. As for the mainstream stores, well you gotta really love their style, because whatever season it is, they will come up with the same stuff.
If by brand name, you mean designer, then to me they don't matter a lot. I will buy designer, only if I know it will last me a few seasons. Nothing hurts more than owning last seasons most overused piece, which ALL of the fashion circle have gone through. Hurts, a lot.

I don't like brand-names unless they are truly worth it and are a good quality. However, some people can be extremely shallow and yes, judge you on what you wear.
Personally, I buy from thrift shops. If I can pick up something brand-name for really cheap, great! But I wouldn't spend, say... $60 on a shirt. Not happening. Especially since most clothing like that (for girls anyway) is really sheer and thin and I think to myself, "I want a shirt, not a flimsy piece of fabric."

I prefer to wear namebrands like American Eagle, Aeropostale and other's. But a lot of times I can't afford the expensive name brands, and will settle for OP.
I tend to be really stuck up when it comes to living quarters and clothing. Which is something I need to work on....

In all honesty, I don't really care what brand my clothes and such are. I couldn't tell you brands on most of my clothes except for pants because I'm tall, so I can only get pants that fit me certain places. And I will say that I have asics volleyball shoes because I refuse to buy nike products. And I do want good quality sports equipment. Like, my knee pads are underarmour. And my swimsuits are all speedo. Only because from my experiences, other brands do not hold up as well.

I think that today, in a very critical world, the brand of your clothes does matter. More than that though, is that a well-known brand name will produce higher-quality clothes that look better and will last longer than a generic brand from wal-mart or something.

Yes, but for a different reason. It matters because I can tell so many things about you just by the fact that you do wear those brands for whatever reason (proving you have the money to afford brand-names, fitting in, insecurity, whatever it may be).
But myself, I don't see a fucking difference. Clothes are clothes, my god. No one gives a damn about who's clothes you're wearing.

to me, branding is everything - if you have the money. if i can buy designer then i will because i've found the quality and fit are much nicer than high street stores. some high street stuff is okay though like a like topman jackets.

I like shopping for brand named things when I have the money, or I ask for some for my birthday/christmas.
But when I have limited money, Walmart/Target/thrift stores are just lovely.

For colognes and sunglasses, brand names are incredibly important to me because those are things you don't want to screw with. Your eyes aren't something you want to save $20 and buy a knockoff brand of. Colognes that are sold really cheap can contain unsafe chemicals as they're not that regulated, it's worth the extra money for them or saving it all and skipping out if you can't afford it.
As for clothes, excluding cashmere and all wool styles, brand name isn't as important as quality and design. If something is made very well with great style by someone I've never heard of, I won't hesitate to buy it (so long as the price is fair and affordable). Would I prefer to wear all Citizens jeans and carry a LV bag? Yes, but so long as the quality is great and the style is too, I don't care who makes it.
As for cashmere and wool, name is everything. If you're willing to spend $75(+) on a scarf, take some time to look at brands because when it comes to cashmere, name is everything.

I have no brand name clothes, so I guess that means it doesn't mean anything for me. Why pay $50-$70 for a tshirt, when the $5 shirts do the same job.

I'd say yes and no.
Wearing labels isnt all that important, but wearing the cheaper things isnt really good because theyre made in Chinese sweat shops in slave labor conditions and the overral fabrics and stitching suck.
But if i am on a tight budget, then i'd still get a few pricier essentials like shoes, jeans, scarfs and gloves.
