i think that i am gay, but i live in a community where gays are looked down upon and i want to meet some other kids my age that are gay. so how can i deal with this and make/find/meet some gay kids my age.

well ur here on Virtual Teen so that's a good start. and i understand where you're coming from cuz over here gays (or even people who seem a TINY bit homosexual) are looked down upon also.

but then again you can't be too absolutely sure that you're 100% gay. you could just be curious or in a phase.

but anyway if you wanna meet some other people like you, websites like this are a great start. Meeting people in communities in real life (especially if they're small communities) is a bit harder and riskier, in my opinion

Great answer ! I have the same problem here (Alabama) just be yourself... no one can fault you for that. I am sure there are others that have the same "curious" feelings.... so trust me, you are NOT alone

Like you have mentioned, where you live is a place where homosexuality is looked upon, so its definately likely that everyone is closet just like you.

Many people will find it extremely difficult to go past self denial and opening up to everyone about their sexuality, although personally i feel that sexuality was never a choice for everyone.

How you intend to go about meeting other kids around your age, can come in many channels, For instance here in VT everyone talks openly and are very straight forward, when it comes to such issues.

But it too does depends on which direction you are coming from, but generally everyone shares experiences and knowledge here.

Feel free to ask around, learn with an open heart and an open mind, and most of the time answers can be found, in the most unexpected places, among the most unexpected people.
