I REALLY need to shave my pubes. It's like a bush down there. How do I tell my parents I need to shave. It itches sooo badly.

I'm very open with my parents and one day when me and my mom were alone I said, Mom I need a razor, and she said ok, with no questions asked. 2 days later, I was given a new razor. Been happy ever since.

Why tell them? I don't see why they need to know that you want to see your pubic hair, it's not like you're going out and cutting your hair, they won't notice unless you tell them. It's just me, but I'd keep it private if I could

dont tell your parents. there is no need. just buy a shaver and start shaving when your home alone.

In my personal opinion don't invole your parents just do it, trimming is better 'cause shaving itches as the pubes grow back and with trimming you don't itch. If you feel that you must shave buy a razor and when your home alone take a nice warm shower/bath (this way the genital area is relaxed) step out grab a mirror and yor razor and if you have alot of pubes you should trim first. after trimming shave down/up the hair to minimize the chance of irratation. after your done apy a skin moisturizer and their you have it gromed pubes

If you want a razor, ask your dad when you two are alone if he says no which is unlikely the next time that you go to the store get razors

This seems like the best answer to your question. But I gotta go with some of the other responses. Why tell them in the first place? But if you feel you have to then what basketboy said is the way to go.

I prefer to trim but that just me... but I have never talked to my dad about it.. I do not see the need. As for you... a air of scissors and careful negotiating in the region should start the trim but I would go slow....even of you decide to shave it all....

Depends on your parents. Parents vary widely. Some act reasonably, some don't. If yours don't, you've got much bigger problems than shaving pubes. In any case, none of it can be about you, or your fault.

Yeah, I say just trim them back until you have barely any. That's almost the same as shaving. And why tell your parents anything? This is like a personal part of your body.
