Okay not really a mental crisis but I'm scared as FUCK to go to sleep because I don't want to fall into Sleep Paralysis. I've had it once before where it felt Like somebody was laying next to me in my bed and I was falling and I literally almost pissed myself but I couldn't move. And now I have a weird feeling it will happen again :/

Hey Marc sleep paralysis is scary but, theres a bunch of ways to help prevent it, getting enough sleep
reduce stress
exercise regularly (but not too close to bedtime)
keep a regular sleep schedule
Can minimise sleep paralysis experiences.
Also, for some reason, sleeping on your side reduces your chance of getting sleep paralysis alot. I dont know how, but it just does.
Sleep paralysis is scary but if youve only had it once so far, it might not happen again for a long time.

Wow I'm so glad i actually found this thread. This happens to me about once a month or so sometimes more sometimes not at all. But its freaking as crap. I am not a narcolyep and i sleep decent hours and never knew what caused it or what it even was. I thought it was subliminal where i just tricked myself into thinking i couldnt move. I also can't talk or scream durring it. It seems to happen more when im on my side unlike what the link said. It is very scary but im quiet sure its not dangerous to you.
But you also said you have a feeling as if you fell on your bed. Ive had this feeling 4 times in my life and all as a child. a couple of my friends have had it also. All ive ever heard about it is the sense of falling in a dream can cause all your muscles to contract and expand at once and sorta make you physically jump from a laying down point. and most people wake up from the thought of falling and you wake up as your comming back down.

sleep paralysis is not always a bad thing, I have been trying for so long to get sleep paralysis as its one of the easiest ways to get into controled astral travel
but then again, sleep paralysis in natural. It is your bodys defence system against you hurting yourself in your sleep. sleep paralysis happens when you wake up but your body hasnt unparalysed itself yet. I know from the veiw of wanting it that you can trick your body into thinking your minds gone to sleep so it locks itself up so you dont act out your dreams (incases of sleep disturbences or sleep walking something hasnt happend correctly) if you sleep lightly your body might not lock down or if you sleep heavyily you are more likely to get into sleep paralysis.
I think the easist way to deal with it would be just to learn more about it and accept it may happen instead of fighting against it.

Taken from some site I found with research.
I awakened from this very frightened and very paranoid. I opened the door to see if anyone was out there, then locked the door and went back to bed. This was one of the worst cases of sleep paralysis I had ever experienced. I realized that my fear had created yet more fear in an frightening vortex of feedback. So, I decided that the next time I experienced paralysis, instead of fighting the experience, I would try to *relax* and see what happened. About two hours later the same night, the paralysis returned.
"Here I go again!" Initially I was a little afraid, but I slowly let go of the fear by breathing and relaxing. I started to feel lighter and lighter in my body. Soon I felt I was sitting in bed, but I could also see my body lying in bed. I knew this was a dream. I stood up and looked out the window. A geyser of colored light particles came through it. I stood there with a sense of awe. I reached out with my hands, wanting to touch the particles. As I moved my hands, they became colorless, weightless, and I felt the beauty of their energy all through my body. I awoke with an ecstatic feeling of joy. I felt I had discovered a way to transform a state which I have always associated with fear to a healing and transformative one.
If it happens, try to relax as much as possible, calm down.
If it's hard to sleep, and I know the best way to have calm safe dreams is to play nice music before sleeping, like ambient. Music like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl8F1z0I5v8). Research ambient music, download/buy some of it, play before sleeping.
Good day to you sir.

I've had sleep paralysis every now and then since I was 10. The cause for sleep paralysis is lack of sleep. Just change your sleeping patterns to get some good sleep and wake up in between sleep cycles. This could help you out - SleepyTime (sleepyti.me)
Sleep paralysis could be lack of sleep but it could also be a form of aliens coming into contact with you. Many of the times of course, it's the mind playing tricks on you. Making it seem as if there was really somebody by your side and the mumbling voices you hear.
My experiences have risen to an immensely high level of terror. I know to differentiate if it is lack of sleep or if it's something else. I have had more sleep paralysis due to other beings rather than it be lack of sleep. I have 2 or 3 stories to share if you all would like either in a post on this thread or as a blog. Just ask.

There is a gland in your brain that causes you to be temporarily paralized while you sleep in order to prevent sleepwalking during a dream. (I know some people sleepwalk anyway, but that's not supposed to happen.) Consistent lack of sleep and waking up before your brain feels that it has completed a sleep cycle causes the de-paralizing to lag behind, while the brain tries to keep you asleep in order to get enough rest. Have you told anyone else about this?
