Awkard moment between two friends...

I'm a boy and she's a girl, we're both 16 and known each other since primary school (elementary school in the US, I think) and it was only about under a year ago we've started to become closer friends but aside from that we've always been friendly.

This was a few months a go now, in May I think! Me, her and our friend were going out shopping together and I got to her house first and our other friend didn't turn up at that point. I knocked on her door, we said hi and stuff and all of a sudden it got strange and awkward. I felt like I wanted to kiss her, and I probably imagined it, but I felt as if she felt the same...I probably did imagine it but there was some sort of odd connection. We never did anything though...she's pretty, but I'm not attracted to her in that way and we have gone out in friendship groups before. Also in school we walk to lessons together alone when we need to go in the same direction...we are close and trust each other, we laugh a lot together to! But we're just very good mates really!

We are normal now, it was just that once.

So whats the deal with that one day with the awkward moment, do I subconsciously have a crush on her?

Hey man.. look, from what you've said it doesn't look like you subconsciously have a crush on her - it may have simply been that one moment where she looked stunning, or thought u looked stunning, and you both didn't know what to say.. That's all I got man :S I know what its like, it's happened to me before, but a girl liked me and i liked her, but just as a friend, so maybe she likes you?

If she's a pretty girl and you're interested in pretty girls, presumably you are, then it was likely just a moment in which you were attracted because you didn't realise who she was. I know that sounds ridiculous but it does make sense.
