Is it that bad for a boy whos 16 to go out with a boy whos 14?:S
Someone said it's fine for a boy and a girl, but not for a boy and a boy...

Why would it not be fine for two boys?
It's fine, in my opinion.
2 years isn't that far apart. (:

There's nothing / no one who could tell you this is wrong really :P

Actually, I firmly believe in the two-year rule (That being nobody more than two years older/younger than you). It seems like whoever told you that has a personal preference that you aren't conforming to. 16 and fourteen is fine, in my opinion.

I would say it's fine assuming the older boy does not try to take advantage in anyway. Or pressure him into things he's not okay with.

Also Why would it be okay for a straight couple and not a gay one? Same Rules apply :P

I would assume that going out meant in a relationship,
I find that it's perfectly ok.
In fact, age should not be a boundary for starters.

But regardless, it's not easy to go open in the public for obvious reasons.
But in my opinion, you don't need anyone's permission to love somebody, so why bother what people think.

On the point, Altovaughn brought up, taking advantage is something you have to be wary of, but at the same time we should not doubt the love of our partners.

To sum up, just be careful in what you do, and enjoy the relation you are having to it fullest.

Best wishes :)

I don't think it's that much of a difference. Who ever told you that it's wrong for a guy and another guy to date at that age... Do me a favor and kick them in the shin.

Good luck :3

Personally, 3 years apart is kind of the limit. A 2 year age difference isn't bad at all.

2 yrs apart isn't that big of a deal. It just depends on the two people. At our ages, sometimes a year apart makes a huge difference in maturity. If it's a really immature 16 yr old and a really mature 14 yr old--not a big deal. A really mature 16 yr old (someone who could pass for older and acts older) with a really immature 14 yr old without any experience--maybe not the best relationship. As long as one doesn't take advantage of the other, not a big deal.

All these people trying to tell you what you are and are not allowed to feel.

How you are treated in a "relationship" is very important, but how old someone is is not. Not in my book. Pay no attention to the haters in the world. Gender isn't an issue, age isn't an issue. Practicality is, trust is, passion is.

This. (With the exception of legal restrictions, of course.)

Age shouldn't be an issue so long as the person you go out with isn't in much legal danger. I say this from the perspective of someone who had a friend end up in jail because their ex who was two years younger than them ended up telling their parents about being sexually active with the individual, and once the parents found out, the reported him to the police.

While I understand that was an issue caused by the parents, it's personally a risk I wouldn't take. But in this current situation, I think it's perfectly fine. As for the genders involved, quite frankly, who gives a fuck? A same sex couple isn't bothering people in the same way a heterosexual couple isn't bothering people.

What's more important is the trust, love and connection established between the two partners.

It's totally fine...
You're only 2 years from each other...
You could have started school early and he could've started school late and you could be virtually only 1 year younger than him...
I know a friend that's with a girl 4 years younger than him... And people still find it normal...
He's 18 and she's 14...

Age doesn't matter at all if you ask me... if you like someone older or younger that your business. no ones Else's opinion matters other than those in the relationship.
