Downgrade

I'm sure jailbreaking or asking how to jailbreak is frowned upon. So instead I'd like to ask how to downgrade a 2G 8gb iPod Touch running 4.2.1 to 3.1.3. Why? Because spirit is very easy to jailbreak with.

P.S. My power button is fucked up so it hurts my finger when I try to put it in DFU.

Downgrading to 3.1.3... Excuse me but, I really do favour Jail Breaking but why go to an obsolete iOS that is pretty much not worth it. Trust me, downgrading is more challenging than jail breaking. Ever since iTunes stopped signing any iOS below the current iOS it's been a challenge to downgrade unless you saved your SHSH Blobs, which can only be down via Cydia (which has to be done when you had 3.1.3. I recommend you update to 4.3.3 (4.3.4 is too new and I'm not 100% sure if they've found an unteathered solution yet).

Secondly, use your thumb not your finger. /sarcasm
Not sure if this works for which ever model you have, but visit jailbreakme.com on your iPod; has to be the best solution for jailbreaking, so I've heard anyway.

Actually, you can save SHSH blobs with TinyUmbrella (But Apple would have to be signing them or Cydia would have to have it), or iFaith, which could extract the blobs from the firmware. (But it wouldn't work because your on another firmware so the blobs are no longer on the device.)
I can't wait for someone to find the way to generate signed blobs for any firmware. I want my 4.1 back!

But anyways, I recommend staying on 4.3.3 and use jailbreakme.com by Comex its really easy as going to that address on your device and installing it like an App Store app, no need for DFU. Also, it's usually hard to downgrade without DFU mode

2nd gen cannot be updated past 4.2.1 and jailbreakme is obsolete. Fuck it I give up.
