i have a form of autism called aspergers and i also have tourette syndrome. it makes me obsessed with masturbation and i constantly dwell on my penis. i am always touching it. at school, church, home, everywhere! does anyone else have these conditions and experience the same things?

Well I have tourettes as well, but I dont have any problems with masturbation. For me its mainly eye blinking and I realized a while ago that I clear my throat a lot too, but that doesnt mean that your tics are unheard of. Everyone has different symptoms if you will, and I know what Im gonna say probably wont mean much because I think the same thing a lot too, but just try to think of something else. Like me with my eye blinking, when I find myself blinking a lot more than usual, I try to force myself not to, ya know?

If it really does start to bother you and you feel like you cant concentrate on normal activities, try talking to your parents or q schol counselor or something. I know from experience that its really embarassing to bring up your issues to someone else, but if it means getting help, it really is worth it. You can try therapy, medicine, stuff like that. Believe me, it does help.

Send me a Pm or VM if you want to talk more, Ill be happy to help you out. Most likely ive been in the same boat that youre in too

i think the sexual stuff is more related to autism to be honest, but wasnt sure. i have pretty moderate tourettes, luckily not severe, but far from mild. i have tons of vocal tics and i hate it plus the motor tics tend to hurt at times. its nice that my friends understand though and sports seem to help me out, along with playing music.

It probably is, I wasnt sure either. As for the tourettes, mine would probably be classified as very mild, just the blinking and occasional vocal tics. Other than that nobody knows that I have TS unless I tell them, which I dont plan on doing haha. Its weird, I dont notice my tics until Im actually thinking about them, you know? Like I wont be blinking as much until I think that I havent been in a while, and then it starts. But ah well, Im lucky I guess that this is all I have to deal with.

Its good that your friends understand everything, thats why I wont tell mine. They spend so much time bashing people with TS and using that excuse for everything, so I dont know what they would say if I told them that I have TS too. Im just afraid that theyll just direct everything at me I guess

Teens can be harsh, with the teasing and all, but if they cannot accept you for who you are... then it is there loss.
I am lucky and thankful that I do not have any disease or complications such as TS or MS/MD, etc.. and I try to be tolerable of all.
Good luck and I hope that things work out for you guys, being a teen is hard enough, I could not imagine having to deal with the other complications that come with what you guys have to deal with.
No one understands, until they have walked in your shoes.

TS isn't that hard to deal with, if you have a good handle on what it is and who you are. I'm very secure in who I am. Even having the issue's I have. Even being in the system, I've found that only I can overcome these issue's and I can't count on anyone else to do it for me. I get made fun of more by my foster siblings than anyone.

I think its probably the tourettes that causes that since I also have Aspergers and I dont masterbate more than most people on here who have neither, I do atleast once sometimes twice a day. If you want to hit me up you can message me since we already have one thing in common. What I would reccomend you do when your at school and you can stop touching yourself is just think of something that totally turns you off, like Hilary Clinton, Susan Boyle, Rosie Odonald or something like that. Hope this helps and feel free to message if you want to talk.

I would haved to say its more because of the tourettes, I have Aspergers like you but not tourettes and have no problem with masterbating to much.

i was just told by my doctor that its normal for people with autism to hyper focus on masturbation or simply touching themselves, even if it isnt for the purpose of getting off. so according to my doc its autism, but he also said it may develop into a tic.

autism also can give u alot of obsessions I guess but it does vary so I think that you happen to have one for masterbation maybe? Obsessions can vary from person to person who have autism.

i was told recently, after a re-evaluation, that I have aspergers. prior to that dx, my dx was autism. i had a speech delay. i didn't talk until i was about 5 or so. with that, im more on the autism side then aspergers side.

im more on the aspergers side, never had trouble talking although I tend to talk fast I think thats more so genetic just because my dad does to and he hasnt been diagnosed with anything. I somehow manage to do pretty good in public school and im not even on an IEP anymore, It seems to get less and less noticeable for me the older I get, I get very shy around strangers im not sure if that is the same for you, I also haved to hear things a few times in order for it to be locked into my head, I used to have problems with eye contact but dont have alot of trouble with that anymore, I move from one obsession to the next (probably have about 2-3 at a time now but it used to be just 1) I used to not know when to shut up as in when I was 7 I told my neighbor on New Years Eve that my dad said that you shouldnt have secconds of dinner because you might explode. I still do that sometimes but its not like something that horrible, I also have trouble keeping a secret that wont affect me if the secret is found out.
