My mom said I could get a smart phone for my birthday. I don't want a blackberry but I want something that has a qwerty keyboard, a camera, internet browsing, mp3, social networking etc. I was thinking about the nokia c6 but I know if there are any better suggestions. Oh and maybe you can tell me where to get it (website, store etc.). And I'm in toronto right now so if u know any places that sell good phones here....please put that in

I am partial to HTC and Android, but I know it is not for everyone. I searched and found this webpage that compares them:

However, I do not see too many with Qwerty keyboards. I found this one that compares the Qwerty keyboard phones:

Droid 2 is and AWESOME phone, IMO !

I find online prices better, usually, but being in the US, the plans and when your plan expires plays a HUGE role on purchase prices and locations, etc...
Happy shopping.

If you're going to want Facebook on it, you're going to need a data plan. And I don't believe those are inexpensive. So you might have a smartphone, but the data plan is a whole different story.

Telus has a pretty good selection of smartphones, the HTC desire is a pretty good phone but there are probably better ones out there. The telus website has all the details of their phones and stores

I recently got the HTC Desire HD and I love it, this is also probably due to the fact I got a really good plan with it.

It has all the things you requested and you can change most of the things on there if you don't like them and if worst comes to worst, you can root it and change more things around. I'm not sure what the risks are with rooting an android device so research it carefully if you're thinking of doing it, that being said though, I haven't rooted mine and it's still great.

Just impressing upon you what others have said though, be very careful with your data plan. Make sure you know what things are running at all times and it would be best to disable automatic updating of applications; wait till you are connected to a wi-fi network and then do it manually.

What exactly do you mean with "cool"?
"Cool" as in "handy, useful object"?
Or "cool" as in "very popular these days"?
