i'm almost 100% sure this doesnt belong here, and its probably a very strange question, but i need to know.
is it possible to get any STDs (HIV mainly) from a vibrator? if you're wondering, yes i'm gay...
this is something i'm really worried about.....someone PLEASE respond!

no, the only possible way is if somebody else(who has an std) used it before you.

the person who used it before might have an STD, but i heard that viruses cannot last that long outside of the body, is this true?

OK, then I doubt you could get an STD... Did you clean it, or share it dirty?
The likeliness of you getting an STD without spreading it through semen, or blood, other bodily fluids, is very low, so you probably don't have an STD. But its more likely to have spread an STD if the vibrator was shared by both of you, without being cleaned in between uses.

there werent any bodily fluids on it when i used it (it was dry), and we didnt just use it back to back. so anything on it would have died spending that much time outside the body, right?

:yeah: Yeah, 99.9999% chance that you don't have an STD, but if you're really unsure, get a test done.

Its possible that you could have gotten Icoli (sp?) because I know that comes from poo
But probably nothing is wrong, why? Have you noticed something odd?

Spelled E-coli I believe, but that's from like rats poop - not human poop, I dont think.
I dont think you'll have an STD. Have you noticed anything weird going on with your body lately, any signs to make you suspect this? I really dont think you'd get an STD from using a vibrator that someone else who might have had one had used before, because like you said it wasnt like back to back, it was dry. I think you're fine. Just be sure to clean it next time, and maybe get your own so you arent sharing...

If your really unsure..go to the doctor, or a health clinic, they provide testing.

Don't ever use a vibrator that's not yours.
