Australian rock/metal

I listen to a few metal/rock bands but i dont know if anyone else knows them such as: Butterfly Effect, Parkway drive and so on. Do you know any?

In music class at school I have a rep for scream'o while they go nuts on the drums (I dont like screamo though). like today we were going nuts on the drums and a teacher came in from the other class room and told 4 guys of including me LOL that was fun....we do heaps of funny thing dueing class and lunch but thats not related to music.

I don't know any Australian rock or heavy metal bands (that I can remember off the top of my head), but I know a fair few indie / indie rock ones and my favourite band is Australian, so that's something.

Australian rock bands would be Jet, Cold Chisel are very classic rock andthere's a few other good ones is well.
