Im not here complaining that i get a little anmgry or sad sometimes. Every day i wake up and i feel the pain untill i sleep. I laugh and smile and it almost hurts to fake that i consider suicide but i know i wont kill myself....most likely. I hate myself my life and i hate everything around me. I have no friends and deffinitly nobody to talk to. I just burst out crying sometimes or get so pissed. I punched a hole in my wall last week for no reason. I need help desperatly. I don't know what to do it hurts to walk or to talk to others. I have ADD and when i take my meds i feel even worse and my emotions are played around weith even more. Im telling all of this now because i honostly dnt give a shit anymore i really need help do they make deppresion medicine for 15 year olds?

Yes, but you have to go to a psychiatrist to get those meds. Also talk therapy is very useful with these kinds of problems. Are you going to a psychologist?

I really get that. I go to a psychologist but it was because my principal forced me, I'd never ask for one on my own. But recently I asked my Dad to let me go to a psychiatrist to get pills (I have depression) but I told him it's for social anxiety, which I also think I have but is much much better than telling him I'm depressed. Maybe that would work for you too? Telling your parents you want to talk to someone for a much milder reason than your actual reason?

No one has to know that you go. Only tell friends and people you trust. It's very personal information. And you can find less expensive psychologist. My friend goes too a psychologist that charges $100 less than mine. Your mental health is important, it's worth it.

Meds...I think your parents would have to know what your taking, I don't know if the psychiatrist has to tell them why exactly you need those particular meds. I'm actually a little worried about that myself...

Friends always help, if you don't have anyone to speak to, it must be tough. Can't you talk to your family or as people have said a psychiatrist? Banging walls is not the best way to vent your anger and neither is drinking. There are anti-depressant drugs for teenagers.

It is no shame having depression at your age, it is very common in fact as it is a difficult and stressful time in your life going through growing up and the pressures that inevitably comes with it. You could do with trying to find out whether your ADD has any links with the depression? Good luck x

I can certainly tell you... They do make a lot of medicines for depression. Lexapro. Cyroquil. Zoloft. Just to name a few... They will only work if the depression is related to a chemical imbalance, not a hormonal or problematic depression. (Ex: Your parents got divorced, a friend died). Secondly, it depends on the therapist and/or psychiatrists. Psychologists are the people you actually talk to about your problems. Psychiatrists are the ones that prescribe you medicine. Psychologists cost less per hour than Psychiatrists, but cannot prescribe medicine. Also, if money is a concern, almost all counties have a mental health institute that gives financial reductions and stuff like that.

Don't be embarrassed to tell your family. I 100% guarantee you, they have gone threw a depression spell in their lives, too. All parents classify into one or two of the following characteristics: Caring, Judgmental or Dismissive. I unfortunately have a very dismissive family who always asks "What problems could you possibly have?" and when I tell them, they make me feel guilty for talking about my problems. But I digress.

Secondly, your anger is completely natural for someone of your age. I hate to sound like some stupid doctor or health teacher, but your hormones are changing constantly, so that could be a reason. So if this is the reason, don't feel too stressed out over it, because it eventually will get better. Unless of course you have some type of Thyroid or Pituitary gland disorder.

If you are on medication for ADD, then who is prescribing them to you? Your family physician or a psychiatrist? Honestly, family practitioners are NOT the best place to get that type of medication. The reason why is because each patient must undergo full psychological testing before prescribing a pill, because not all pills work the same for all people. For example, I get really hyper when I take benadryll, but I get sleepy when I have caffeine. You might need a change of medications.

You cannot get a prescription without your parents knowing. No doctor can legally treat an under aged person without parents consent. So I really feel for you there.

Finally, about your depression, all I can say is it does get better. And you will have times you feel better. And you will have times you will feel worse. Then some days you can be numb or angry... All I can say is, enjoy the times it's good, laugh the times you can, and when your upset, try to find something that calms you down. For me, it's listening to music, gaming, doing school and writing poetry. The best advice anyone can give is to just give it some time. Because honestly, nothing is forever. Nothing. So at least take some comfort in knowing it will pass :). I wish you the best of luck, because I certainly understand what you're going threw... And very well.
