I've now watched both the sony and microsoft press confrences. As of right now, I hate my PS2, and love my Xbox, because the PS2 lacks in power.

As of right now, the PS3's cell processer runs 2x as fast as Xbox 360, their ram is 1.5x faster, and their physics processing power is unmatched. I am truly amazed by some of the physics demenstrations they did with real flowing water and some other things.

I can't say yet which will have better games, but at this point, Xbox 360 looks like a let down.

um..... not really dude. the ps3 has a new graphics technology from nvidia thats better than TWO SLIed 6800 ultras. thats like over 1000 dollars of graphcs power in your little ps3. and not to mention the processor has 300 million transitors on it, which is more than any commercially available microprocessor

The thing is can the Ps3 handle all of that, and the other downside is that its gonna be super expensive, so what are people going to rather buy, I mean Xbox is close to Sony and its gonna be cheaper so which one would the people rather pick? It's been revealed by a PS3 worker from EPIC games that most of the stuff there wasnt actually real-time, it was pre-rendered, but he said that those things will be possible and beyond with the PS3

Even if it is more powerful, I'm pissed that sony had to outright lie :evil:

well there is a big debate going on,a bout if the things shown were pre-rendered or real-time for Sony...i believ somethings were pre-rendered, but There were things that were real-time.....

Like Fight Night round 3 was real time......and it looked absolutly amazing..

Now the big thing is Killzone 2, now sony didnt say if it was pre-rendered or not, but after seeing that, it could well possibly be real-time...i mean graphically wise it was like fight night...So i believe that the playstation 3 could generate power like that.

As for the press conferences....Sony dominated, no questions ask. Nintendo showed no controller or even gameplay...and they probably screwed themselves over by doing that.....This is freakin E3...we want to see what we are dealing with...and if you fail to deliver...then people will just be like who cares.....as for xbox 360....it was another dissapointment...they waited forever to show gameplay....and it wasnt that impressive....it didnt have a shock value like ps3.......

As for the specs...Sony has a much morepowerful system than 360 and probably revolution.

- nintendo revolution is 3 times more powerful than the gamecube
- and the ps3 is 35 times more powerful than the Ps2


My sony fans would know..that if u look at the new controller for sony.........it looks different, but that doesnt mean it will feel different....the button lay out is the exact same, so holding the controller wont feel that much different, it just resembles a boomerang......which by the way I think is cool.

As for the E3...it belongs to Sony.....I am not saying that the 360 is a bad system....because it isnt....But Sony has this in the bag....

For revolution...they should have told us more...and that could be there downfall.....I think nintendo needs to stop making systems....and start focusing more on their games and handhelds...because thats what most people buy.

Killzone was prerendered. Watch it again and notice how smoothly the "player" walks around. It's impossible to do that with the controller. You also notice that their is no varience in the frame rate. Even the fastest and most powerful computers will slowdown a little bit (maybe from 90 FPS to 50 FPS) when there are huge explosions going on.

The other thing I am sure is prerendered is the gas station explosion. Notice that both times they do it, when they go do the faraway shot (not the one from above) a door falls the exact same way in the exact same place both times, on the left side of the screen.

Maybe the PS3 is capable of those things, but I feel deceited

You lose, killzone was not ingame. It's impossible for ingame to move that fluidly when someones playing with a controller.

Uh, last time I checked, the GBA is still the #1 sold hardware...and I haven't seen the PSP get any perfects from Famitsu. Have you? :P

And it's more of the other way around. How has Nintendo copied people with the DS? Being able to download and play 20 years of gaming? Offered an affordable, easy to fit in my small cabinet console?

Nintendo's controllers have gotten stolen over the years. Wireless, analog stick, D-pad, rumble. All of it.

And I can tell you're more of an FPS gamer probably...but that's just my raw assumption.

Oh, IMO, Microsoft and Sony are copiers...of freakin' Microsoft. They're trying to give people a gaming PC, IMO, just without all of the actual good games and the awesome features.

Cosmos has a point, and a computer has "limits" you can only put a certain amount of games until your computer gets slow, and gets out of wacked, cause PC games attract a lot of Viruses and Spyware...think about it, and with these systems they can't cause their not a "actual" computer...i play PC games..but for really playing games I stick to consoles, and how much are you willing to spend jsut to bump up your computer to stay with the systems?

And I personally prefer computer gaming. Computers don't nearly attract as many viruses as you think. They come with automatic updates (Steam does, at least) to fix and add to your gaming experience. Modding engince like Sandbox and Hammer also add more replay value to the game, making the possibilities limitless.

And even if two 6800s can't defeat the Cell, Nvidia will create Geforce 7000s soon enough, and ATI has a new card that'll be released soon :wink:
