So, I used to self harm for about 2 years, and stopped about a year ago. But just recently, I've been starting to feel tempted, and those feelings of worthlessness have started to come back. Often, I just feel as if there is nothing I can do and there is no reason for people to like me. Or me to like myself. I want to self harm again to show everyone, and myself, that no matter how weak I seem, that I am strong enough to do that to myself. Has anyone felt like this?

I know how you feel. but you cant do that to yourself. You have to control yourself. If you dont mind me asking, how old are you? Contact me if you'd like to talk.

Yeah not too long ago too but youve gone a year, that takes a lot of strength in itself, so try to keep going.

well in your eyes self harm seems like a good way to make you feel needed but really what you are doing is showing people how week you are by hurting yourself, no matter what you think their are always reason for someone to like someone. try as hard as you can to keep your self from harming yourself. you have been able for a few years so keep going

Uve gone a year, and that in itself is an amazing accomplishment, I know what u mean, but by self harming,u give in to the urge,u become a slave to the addiction again. Dont let it drag u down under again. Stay strong. If u get an urge, its good to stay busy & have distractions,as u probably know,so maybe go somewhere where u cant self harm,do something that makes u happy. If u start to feel low on urself,u could do something to up ur mood, like wear ur favourite outfit,go buy ur fav food & rent a movie, do something that will make u feel good, and replace the bad thoughts. Everyone can name atleast one good thing about themselves. U could try standing infront of a mirror every morning and name something u like about urself. I know it might sound kinda stupid...but after awhile once u get into that mind set,it really does start to work. U can keep going. XxStay strongxX

First, well done for achieving 1 year free. I know what you mean and it has slowly become worse for me. As for the advice I can't really say better than the comment above other than don't give in!
