If you could have any car you'd like what would you crusing in? Just for a practical sense your parents have given you a $40,000 budget.

Modern Camaros are for douchebags. I'd take the '69 model over it any day of the week- Regardless, though, I don't think either would be ideal as a 'first' car. You'd want something that won't cost you a lot of money in gas or insurance.

Just to let you know, that title reads "Your Ideal First Car for greater than $40,000."

But I'd have either a Dodge Challenger R/T or a VW GTi. Depends on my mood.

2011 F150 (not practical on gas mileage or insurance) or 2011 Honda CR-Z-- sporty n great mileage (but I'm sure Insurance on a "sports" car would be crazy..

I like the look of the new Taurus, and the SHO is awesome. I also would choose one. I was just talking to some co-workers about it today.

fpv (ford performance vehicles) gt or holden ssv/hsv (holden special vehicles) cluby (clubsport) or even a fpv f6 (thats a turbocharged inline 6) only found in nz and australia and hsv/holden.

but the problem is in australian well in my state your not allowed turbocharged car,v8,supercharged unless your on your P2 (thats after your L's theres like 2 tests, test 1 is P1 test 2 is p2 and to mention that ur allowed turbo charged v8 diesels or anything diesels. but I like the toyota landcruiser 70 series in ute form modded with arb bar and lightforce spotty's and a bloody hell of allot of mods

Unfortunately as 'Imaussie' has said, Australians are limited. But my parents have agreed on either as Lexus IS350 or a BMW 335 with M sports pack. I believe these are both under $40,000 US?

A bone stock BMW 328i is slightly under $40k, but you wouldn't be getting a new 335 for that. And an IS350 starts at somewhere around $35k.

Ah sorry, I don't know American prices over australian ones, especially with the dollar the way it is. Thanks though :)

Well I already have a 2006 Mustang GT

But I would want a 2011 Mustang GT white with a black stripe and red interior. that is about $37,000. But I would throw a supercharger in it too which is $5,000 so I am at $42,000. I would prefer a 2011 Mustang Cobra supercharged tho.

Awesome

I'd do absolutely anything to have a '70 Chevelle SS with the 454 under the hood, red with black racing stripes.....:'(. But, I don't know about you guys, but I sure as hell didn't get $40k to buy my car....

I drive a 96 Camaro, has a 3.8 V6. My car's 14 years older, could smoke yours in a drag, and probably cost a quarter of what yours did. HA.

A 2007 Mercedes S550. They are powerful comfortable and one of the most technologically advanced cars ever made. Even though its 5 years old it still has more gadgets then 95% of cars today :D I found one RIGHT at the 40k mark.

After the Face lift in 06 I liked the E65 7 Series BMWs.

Heres one for under 40k Plus I would have a little cash left over for some sweet Alpina Soft line rims!

Would probably have to be a Jeep Wrangler, doesn't have to be that new even, just like the idea of a jeep, smallish and able to go pretty much anywhere!

I would say a fully loaded Honda Civic coupe. I know it may not be the nicest car, but I am thinking practicality. It has good fuel economy and, for mid-30s I can get a nice model with a navigation. Also, I wouldn't want a car that attracts too much attention. A civic wouldnt turn heads as much as a BMW or Mercedes would.
