Ok so I made the terrible mistake of using shampoo to masturbate. My penis is sorta red and the skin looks weird. How long till back to normal?

You didn't wash it off. I did that once. Maybe a week? I don't really remember. Use lotion instead of shampoo if you're not in the shower.

Soaps; bad idea in general. Stay away from em'. They aren't very effective as lube.

Don't use lotion, use baby oil or Vaseline or spit

Actually ben is right, its better to use something either mild alkaline or netural ph as a lubricant. As shampoo is relatively acidic , thus maybe the reaction on the skin.

I don't think it'll take a week. I sometimes use regular soap as lube when im in the shower and I usually don't have a problem. sometimes it stings a little but goes away soon haha

It shouldn't take a week. Maybe a day at the most. But it shouldn't take too long get back to normal.

If its just a little red then mabye a couple of days. If its really red then a week.

And by the way, you learned a lesson. Keep in mind that its safe to use baby oil and vaseline.
