Do you think bullying is more of a problem in public schools than it is in private schools, vice versa, or do you think its even? More specifically is a private school that teaches religion less bully ridden then a private school without religion? I personally have never gone to a public school. My entire life has been spent in a private christian school. Most of the people who went there in preschool are still going there now. I know every kid as a good person (christian or not). What do you think?

P.S. I apologize if the title isn't very specific.

I think there are too many variable to really be able to say. I mean bullying starts for a very diverse set of reasons, be it insecurity, troubled home life, peer pressure to fit in, etc. It's very hard to provide something thats certain because most kids are products of their environment and will create traits that allow them to best survive, for bullies its going to the top of the food chain.

I mean, I guess on average, a Public School will have more bullying than a private, mostly because private schools have much harsher consequences for getting kicked out, I mean between the money lost by the parents to have their kid go there, to the gas money required to take their kid to the new school. That has to be a much bigger concern than in a public school where the worst that'll happen is you'll be suspended, and maybe kicked out of the district if you committed a serious offense.

As for a religious private school versus a run of the mill private school, I'm not sure.

well i do think private schools are a lot less likely to have bullying due to the fact that well more trouble due to the fact they can get kicked out and major money loss....

where as public u can just get suspended or not allowed to go into the area of schools

as for religous based schools i think there is a lot less due to the brain washing that goes on there

Oh and can i ask you something if i went to one of these schools i.e Christian and said i dont belive in god and all that would i get into trouble?

They will burn you at the stake for being a heretic. Just kidding! But, it really depends on how conservative is the school. Why would go to a Christian school if you don't believe in god? You will probably be "asked" to leave (expelled)

I'm an athiest, but noboby at my school knows. I have no idea if I would get kicked out or if my parents would still be willing to pay. Honestly though if MY school knew they probably wouldn't kick me. One of my teachers let it slip that she knew of a few kids who "didn't except christ YET". I've been going there my entire life, so I know all the staff and teachers very well. Lets not forget my favorite bible verse Jude 1:22 (look at sig). If they try to kick me I'll just quote that bible verse and call them a bunch of hypocrites.

You won't get kicked out of a Christian school for being an atheist. They're also for the most part not "brainwashy" or "preachy". Hell, most private schools in America are religious schools.
