Not really sure if this gose here but what the heck
So I reacently started doing push ups cause I want to get more upper body strangth which I have vertualy none of. Well after I finish my push ups the top of my armpits hurt (It's like a small spot right where my arm meets the rest of my body) so is that normal or what???

Yes that's normal. It's just your muscles not used to the work. It's just like your legs getting sore after you go running or your abs hurting after doing crunches.

The pain is from microtears in the muscles. When your muscles repair themselves, it prompts them to grow stronger. You will experience this after a tough workout.

yeah ditto^^ ur body isnt used to working ur upper body so there will be some slight pain but itll be worth it in the long run

yep completely normal, thats wat happen 2 me when i first do pushups.

And just a shout out to everyone who experiences this pain.. You should always stretch and take a hot bath after your workout, it relaxes your muscles and eases the pain slightly. Also the hot water stimulates your muscles to produce laxatives, which is essential for faster muscle recovery. It is also good to eat plums, since there are natural laxatives in the skin of the plums. Not only would your pain go away faster, you can workout more frequently. It sounds kinda crazy and random, but it works.

I love the pain after a workout!!! If it's getting to you think "pain is weakness leaving the body" :D
