liking a shy guy

i currently have a big time crush on a really shy guy and every one i have asked says just talk to him but ... i am really shy too.(a big problem) and to make matters worse is that it is summer break and i have no way of communicating with him if i wanted to. i have tried to talk to him on facebook by saying hi and asking him about the classes we had together but i get nothing not even a hi. and when i say shy i really mean it. in english class when a teacher would ask him a question he woud just say um and wait until she asked someone else. (he has talked to me before which some of his friends say is a good thing) anyways some advice would be awsome. :D

I don't think there is anything you really can do until school starts again and you see him in person if he doesn't reply to facebook posts. If he is super shy, you probably will just have to build up to talking to him. (First just eye contact, then a smile, then a hey, then asking about his day, etc.)

Depending on how much you have messaged him on facebook, I would wait til about a week before school and just say "Hey, I can't find anyone with classes with me, what are your classes?"

You overcome your shyness and talk to him. That's all there really is to it and as hard as it may seem you must. Perhaps write him a note of some sort and hand it to him, that way you know for a fact that he got it!

I'm not a shy guy, but I know guys who are. Hate to say it, but you will have to take all the initiative. The tough part will be finding out if he likes you and is too shy to say it, or if he doesn't like you and is too shy to tell you.

The good news is that he sounds so quiet that chances are good he still won't have a gf by the time school starts.

your right about the no gf Derek951 becuase he is really quiet, but i don't know how to take the initiative because of the quietness. it can be impossible to start a converstation with him sometimes. and i have tried to find out if he likes someone. i asked one of my friends to ask them( he talks to her) but she asked the wrong guy. :/
i guess i will have to work harder.

When school starts, be direct and ask him to do something, like "do you want to have lunch together" or something. Just make sure it's something that he has to give a yes or no answer.
