LITTLE GIRL
A little girl sits on the steps
A pounding in her ears
She waits for the silence to come
She doesn't want to be here
A little girl sits all alone
The noises in her mind
She's waiting for her friends
Whom she never finds
A little girl sits on a chair
She can hear the demons sing
She takes a blade to her wrists
And feels the quiet sting
A little girl looks in the mirror
Voices in her head
She hates her skin, her hair, her face
She cries to sleep in bed
A little girl lies on the floor
She takes a shallow breath
Eyes closed but not asleep
She waits and waits for death
A little girl sits on the steps
A screaming in her ears
She takes a phone and starts to type
And spills out all her fears
