Driving a crash gearbox

Hey everyone. I just bought a 1952 ford f100 to do up for my first car. my family has a farm so there is room for me to drive it but it has a non syncromesh gearbox. Can anyone give me any tips on how to change gears without grinding them?

what i did was keep my car off and just practice accelerating and shifting gears. I just really practiced the motion of pushing in the clutch changing the gear and then easing back on the gas while letting up the clutch, if that makes sense. It really helped me though so let me know if it helped :)
