I'm stupid. I ruined a perfect day. Everything was fine until I was putting butter on my bread. When I opened the drawer to get the butterknife, I saw the really sharp one. No one else was home, so I just did it, 3 on my left arm, 2 on my right. It happened this time a lot like it happened the first time I ever did it. I'm so stupid.

You aren't stupid, the knife was there and temptation got the better of you. It's ok. It happens to all of us.
First I just want to remind you of the basic things, keep the cuts clean and make sure you sterilized the knife.
Maybe you need to work on distractions? One I've found really works is holding ice in your hand, squeeze it in your fist, don't let yourself drop it hold on to it through the pain and focus on the dripping as it melts down your arm. Idk I've just found this really works.
But there are other distractions, elastic bands or just do something you like, listen to music, write, paint. Talk to someone, or make yourself sit with people throughout any urges.
You didn't ruin a perfect day, you don't have to remember today for the cutting remember everything but that. You are strong enough to beat this, I promise :hug3:

YOUR NOT STUPID, dont ever put yourself down
It just looks like you have given into the temptation, dont beat yourself up about it though, we all do it. Just pick yourself up, because we only fail when we fall down and dont get back up again.

You're not stupid at all<3 We all have certain things that make us just want to harm ourselves sometimes, even if there doesn't seem to be a reason. I know when I see something sharp, it takes a lot to get cutting off my mind... and sometimes I just give in. You still have a chance of recovering from self-harm, and I know you can(: Hang in there and keep going! Hope you're doing alright
