anyone ever tried this? DMT or Dimethyltryptamine is aparently one of the most potent psychedelic drugs in the world. I really only became interested in the drug after hearing this interview with joe rogan (the host from fear factor) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grcqs9cDuN8

it's a very strong psychoactive drug with effects that are very short lasting, full effects lasting like 5-20minutes on average. you can experience very strong hallucinations, open eye visuals and lots of color changes. its one of those drugs that some people may use spiritually because it can cause u to look deep into yourself and be very "one with everything".

im not gonna get into it. erowid didnt have alot of info bout it and they said that it was like not too known of w/ human use so they labled it as a drug that shouldnt be considered safe for recreational use

there are lots of things that occur naturally in our bodies, in the food we eat or things that we can take like mediciines that are fine the the CORRECT DOSES. im just sayin id b careful just because like there's not much known info about the drug in its does appropriate for recreational use

LSD would be the most potent psychedelic known to man. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. DMT is quite powerful, though.

id think that DMT is more potent, but LSD is very strong and lasts a much longer time. Its not as strong so people use LSD more so in the long run they may have a stronger trip, but at like the same dosage DMT is stronger at its peak than LSD

DMT is far stronger for the whole 10 minutes or so that it is in affect. ive heard that you are actually in a total new dimension for the whole trip, while LSD does not bring you anywhere near that point.

Ok. Potent - having great influence

LSD is measured in micrograms (1 microgram = 1,000,000th of a gram). Average dose - 100-200ug

DMT is measured in milligrams. Average dose - 20mg

Tell me which is more potent based on that.

and I'm arguing that LSD can be more "intense" than DMT if you take enough of it. I think you're saying it's more intense because it

is short-acting
has a short onset
causes paralysis

nah, LSD causes you to trip out for like 8-10 hours but nowhere near the point that DMT does. Your eyes are closed when your on DMT so you really are in a whole new dimension, while on LSD you can still see whats going on around you.

Ok, this goes back to the definition of "potent." A dose of LSD is extremely small -- probably not visible to the naked eye. DMT is very visible.

ok, yes for its size of dose, lsd is more potent. but you can do things on lsd. on dmt you cant even stand up.

I agree with that. An average dose of LSD compared to an average dose of DMT would be psychologically less intense.
