Just ask her out. Don't waste time trying to figure out if she was serious or not! If YOU like her, than go for it. If she likes you back, then great, you have yourself a girlfriend!

def ask her out. even if she's a joker, it may be that's her way of seeing if you're interested in her without putting herself out there too far. if she was joking, just laugh it off and tell her too bad, cuz you were interested.

You could play it safe and try to work out if she was serious or not, maybe ask her friends because they should be able to tell and then you could try to ask her out. Or you could just dive in and hope for the best, which is what I'd do.
