Like Jake said, listen to full albums.

This. People who define their taste by individual songs have a really poor appreciation of music and the cohesiveness/experience that an entire album as a package can have. I'm really fucking sick of this low-attention-span, instant-satisfaction culture we've developed thanks to shit like 'singles' and American Idol. If you only like a few songs by an artist, you don't deserve to be considered a fan, because you aren't.

I do agree one the part "If you only like a few songs by an artist, you don't deserve to be considered a fan, because you aren't.",but I don't mind a few singles here and there.

Although I do much like albums,it gets you a way better taste in each song, the songs go well together then a bunch of singles, and like you said it gets you a better feeling of the Artist.I sadly think though, the age of albums is slowly fading away.I give it five more generations.

One word: albums.

But, er, most of Ilyas Ahmed's songs make me want to fast forward time to midnight, sit solemnly on a porch with headphones in, and howl at the moon.

I think I'll do something a little differently and post albums. Albums are a beautiful piece of art in their own respect and they do deserve respect, becuase so often people don't even notice the connectedness and cohesiveness felt in an album, since all they focus on is the single.

OK Computer by Radiohead
In Rainbows by Radiohead
Nevermind by Nirvana
Grace by Jeff Buckley
Louder than Bombs by The Smiths
Carnavas by Silversun Pickups
Dreamhouse by Tides of Man
... Is a Real Boy by Say Anything
Down on the Upside by Soundgarden
Give Up by The Postal Service
Mezzanine by Massive Attack
Elevator by Hot Hot Heat
Figure 8 by Elliot Smith
Juturna by Circa Survive
Deja Entendu by Brand New
Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia by The Dandy Warhols

I tried my best to give you some varied music so you can get a full experience. I dig a lot of different types of music and hopefully you like at least one of these albums!
