how much do you trim your pubes?

do you trim them a little so theyre just tidy but still quite thick or trim them right back so they look like stubble?

Before, the first times that I trimmed, I left it pretty thick; just tidied up a bit. Then, I trimmed with an electric trimmer until it was a little more than stubble. Now, I just trim it with the razor, then shave.
