I live in the UK...so I don't know much about American shops, I have clothes both from Hollister and A&F and I love them:D I normally have to get my A&F clothes online though as we have no stores in the UK, we only have Hollisters
Any I know they're sister brands but how do they differ??
suicidenote.

To me, there isn't much of a difference. Except, A&F puts 15 dollars more on an exact replica Hollister shirt, and will actually have buyers.

The only difference I see is the names.

At my school abercrombie is more for the middle-schoolers and slightly younger kids, whereas the people in my class mostly wear hollister. Personally, I don't see much difference...

like Ashley said...they are basically the same thing..but A&F costs more for some reason...AE is that same but costs less than all of them...I wear them all..just depends on how much I like a certain thing on where I'll get it.

The Marketed Difference is New York Vs. California. But truely there is just a price difference.

I noticed that too. A&F is more northeastern preppy, and Hollister is more tropical/beach. At least as far as the marketing is concerned.

Agreed.
Hollister vs. AF
Bird vs. Moose
California vs. New York
As for colors, I think AF tends to sell more darker colors whereas Hollister has more brighter eye-popping colors (at least for the girl clothes). They also both have the exact same style of clothing most of the time, just with the different logo/name plastered on it.

Abercrombie & Fitch is more "high end" then Hollister. That's why it cost more to have a moose on your clothes other than a seagull.

People from New York prefers A&F but people in California wears Hollister. In fact, they are all made from the same manufacturer. You know, they r not pretty much different. BTW I prefer hollister coz its for teenagers.

Same exact thing. Same company. Abercombie, abercrobie kids, Gilly Hicks, & Hollister are all the same company. All the shirts are the same material " soft suede cotton " . Just different printing. And Gilly Hicks and Hollister are more west coast colors, bright tropicals, abercrombie is more neutrals
