hey, i've just created an account basically so i can talk to people like me. i self harm. i used to do it ocassionally and i hated it so i stopped. and i didn't do it for over a year but i've started again the past couple of months and i do it really regularly now. no one knows. sometimes i regret it, but i generally dont see the big deal. i don't really feel like i'm worth anything so it doesn't matter, and i enjoy it. it fascinates me tbh. i have no plan to stop. i just want to talk to people who do it too, because everyone makes such a big deal out of it when it's really nothing. so yeah, i don't really know how this thing works, but if you feel the same, reply please :)

Welcome to the forums, don't worry, you're not alone in your self harming and the way you feel about yourself. I hope you'll make progress, and feel this way less and less.

welcome to VT!
you aren't alone, as comforting as that can be. many many people on this site can relate to your words. I'm here for the same reason, to talk and be heard no matter what mood or mental state i'm in :)

Welcome to VT. (: I am also a self harmer. I cut and burn. I have done it since I was in 6th grade. I am now in 11th. You may not see anything wrong with it, but it controls a lot of people's lives. It becomes an addiction and it feeds off your pain. Thousands of people wish they could stop, but can't. And all because it's an addiction. Harming yourself in any way isn't good at all. It's unhealthy. Think about stopping, even if you don't want to..and even though you don't see anything wrong with it. It's not good for you.
