I´ve noticed my hair has been getting thinner in the past 6 months. I recently turned 15. I can clearly see that my hairline is thin. The hair grows thin in the front and there's also some shorter hairs in the hairline that seem to not get any longer than like 1/4 of an inch.
Yesterday my friend told me that my scalp is pretty visible in the front and at the back where the "hair spin" is. Isn't that how hair thins in male pattern baldness?
Let me tell you more about my hair habits. I mostly wash my hair every third day and I don't use conditioner. I don't blow dry my hair or use any other kind of heat on my hair. My hair is about 3 inches long at the moment. I haven't used styling products in a while. I use a men's hair brush to brush my hair.

You should see a doctor. Hair loss during puberty is not normal, and it's not as rare as you think. Usually doctors will give meds, and the hair grows back after you're treated. But, doctors need to know what condition is triggering your hair loss to prescribe you correct meds. Hope this helps.
Also, if you are currently taking meds with side effects that include hair loss, that may also explain your current hair condition.

No, hair loss is definitely not normal during puberty. Many men do experience hair loss at a very young age, though, depending on their genes. My brother-in-law began losing his hair at 20.
I recommend you voice your hair concerns to your parents, especially your father, in order to help bring an end to this problem. Take note of any medications you may be on, and read the Warnings on the backs of all of them. Begin using conditioner in your hair along with your regular washing, perhaps go out and buy some shampoo and conditioner designed especially for thickening thinned out hair!
Stress can also be a big factor.
Hopefully, if the explanation doesn't become immediately apparent, you're parents will realize this and take you to a doctor!

All depends on your genes to be honest, if your father is bald and/or started to go bald at a relatively early age then that could explain it. If not then look to your grandfather, great grandfather etc. If not then it could be a problem.

Actually, male pattern badlness is X-linked, which means it's from your mother's side. He *should* direct this to his maternal grandfather.
However yes *really* early balding isn't exactly normal, though it could be just how you are. Do you eat enough, because protein deficiencies can cause hairloss (I've seen it happen), as can high stress.
