For me it's either I eat everything in sight and they have to hide the food or they have to force me into eating something... it just depends on my day.

If you are at a healthy weight and fine with food now, they shouldn't threaten or force you into anything. It's not like you'd tell a larger person to go loose 3 pounds or else they will die, but doctors and parents freak if you suddenly drop 3 without even meaning to. There is no set "healthy" weight for anyone and what difference will the 3 pounds make- save you from dying? Don't think so.

I really dislike the triple digits and I'm supposed to be at least 100, I don't care if I'm at 99.9, but it seems that with my parents, every single last gram matters and they make sure it's 100+.

Yeah your right. I just find it annoying that I look damn good and they think I am too thin but yet I'm built solid :/ it's really stupid.
Hope they ease up on you :)

Wow I really like that analogy, it explains it well :P

My parents don't get it at all either. I'm the same as you in that it happens in cycles. I had started my normal eating cycle and my mum bought up the subject of my ED. She then proceeded to go "you're feeling a lot better now though aren't you". I told her that I wasn't just going to get better like that.

On the other hand she's also told me she doesn't think I have a problem, because I do eat normally sometimes (mostly in front of her, for her). She then started telling me it was good to have the self control that I did and she wished she had it too..

My fam is the same. They expect bc i was hospitalized over it once, ill stop and be "Normal". And they just dont understand, forcing me to eat with threats of taking me to the hospital only helps me find other ways to get worse, hide my food, turn to mia,and go on extreme fasts. I cant even talk to them about it,bc they think its as easy as picking up the fork and opening my mouth. It hurts. But thankfully I have other people I can turn to when I need to vent or talk about my ana,and BDD. If it gets bad enough then u could always try asking them to go see someone with u about it so they can understand and maybe learn ways to help support u getting better? Or send them websites about it.
