Agenda/planner. Literally, mine is my life, it keeps me on top of everything.

Write everything down about due dates in it. Even if you think you'll remember that your paper has to be size 12 font, when you get typing it you'll probably be like me and say "Oh wait...was it 12 or 10?" So, I can just look it up in my agenda, and bingo, I've got my answer. I like to write in colors, and use highlighters, it helps a lot.

Other than that, having a separate notebook/folder/binder for each class helps too. Don't mix up stuff, you'll end up losing it, and then it's just a big hassle to try and find it.

Planner, but I was highly ranked in high school and I haven't really used a planner seriously since middle school. Normally I just remember or write notes to myself on a worksheet instructions I don't think I would remember. And yeah a separate section for each subject is good. Also try to keep old notes and stuff for a while in case they're needed. But from there I think it's kind of preference. You have to know what works for you.

Different notebooks/binders for different subjects. Just keep track of important dates for a course in the designated notebook/binder. I do that because I never use a planner after the first week of school.

I'm really bad at organization, so I need some help too haha. Usually I try to use a separate folder for each subject, but with classes going right until the bell, it's not very time-efficient for me to pull out the subject's folder, put the papers in, and then put everything away after the bell rings when I only have 2 minutes to get from class to class.
A planner does help if you have a lot going on, but usually I just put homework in a specific folder and throw all of my other papers in my bag or something and sort it all out later haha

Have a good binder or two (or three) and actually plan time each day to study and do homework.
