View Full Version : No rep power, but three blocks?

I understand everything about rep and all. until now. maybe. I saw someone, who just joined today (not going to name anyone; and to the person that has this, I hope it's okay with you, no offense intended.), with no rep power but three rep blocks

I'm just wondering how that is possible...it's not important or anything, just curious to know the answer.

I have three bars and 0 rep power. Are speaking of me? If you are talking about me I don't care and I don't see how I would be offended.

Hmm, it looks like it's a glitch

Its not a glitch, you have to have so many posts (Number, admins?) and be a member for so long (more than a day :P) to have rep power

but isn't it a certain amount of points per block or something?

25 posts and I don't think there's a time limit.

Jess

25 points? or posts? and what about a time limit?

Just checked with Anthony's old posts. He said a person needs 25 posts to view rep power. And sorry about the time limit, I meant there is no time required to view rep power. :P

oh okay. but I'm still confused. 4 bars now, still no rep power, you get +1 per 50 points along with the time you're a member and every 1,000 posts

In other words, he's getting +rep'd but doesn't have enough posts/days/etc to actually have a physical rep power. The blocks represent what his rep power should be while the number denotes the power while he hasn't met the necessary requirements. Once the requirements are met, the number will appear.

I think.

I repped him just to see what would happen, and it added a 4th block. Sort of fucks with my mind :/

^^I'm not sure. I know your rep power goes up also by how long you've been here if you have any points

I do notice banned people who have a lot of rep blocks but 0 rep power. that's because they are banned.

@Clouds: it's not 75 posts to make 3 rep blocks. I don't really know how many POINTS you need for every block, but you get +1 rep power for every 50 points, every 1,000 posts, and every 6 months (I believe). as for blocks, I forgot

Origami's post makes the most sense.
