I've been having some very graphic and horrific nightmares lately and I don't watch any scary movies or tv shows. I was wondering if puberty and growth spurts would have anything to do with bad dreams. Thank you.

Nightmares for me seem to be pretty random. Unless I think about that stuff while I'm going to sleep. Usually induces bad dreams.

Dreaming in general comes from images that you have seen randomly being put together so puberty could just be coincedental and irrelevant. I've never heard of them being correlated, but that's just me. I would just wait it out; nightmares tend to dissolve by themsevles. I know how disheartening, and unwanted they are, but I hope they go away as soon as possible for you!

Not really, usually dreams are really random

I don't think they are related either. Relaxing before bed is a way I attempt to keep them from happening, I mean the more I am stressed, the worse i seem to sleep -- I am sure those are related. But, I don't think you can associate the two, each person has got to figure out the best way for them to keep the nightmares at bay, change your nightly routine and see if it helps.

all you have to is turn the nghtmare into something good you control your dreams not the dream so turn it into something that is enjoyable
