hahah i think the idea of an online quiz "measuring" your level of depression is absurd and amusing!

Actually it's quite helpful for those who havent been diagnosed and are wondering if something may be wrong with them. It isnt an actual diagnosis or anything, just something to tell you how your moods are and if you might need to go and see a doctor. So Im not sure why you find this "absurd" or "amusing" as it is neither of those things, just a simple little test to help those who are confused.

You cant just do whatever the hell you want to here, they have rules. If you go against the rules or go against what a mod tells you, you'll get an infraction and if you continue you'll be frozen and eventually banned. So just chill Chelsea, alright?

i got a 7 just to see what that thing was like...i never feel depressed except for like when i think about people i know who've died, so i guess thats why
that guy has no right laughing about all of this cus like all it is is a lil helper for people who are just really confused but like its a serious issue so yea, dont laugh. if i got a 1 or like w/e the highest score meaning severe depression, i still wouldnt think then wow im clean or shit i need help. if u feel like u need help with something then go for it, u have nothing to lose except those feelings of being lost, not loved, weak, w/e

Quizes aren't 100% right but they can give someone idea of something.. But mostly ppl would know without the help of a quiz that their depressed

My friend I think first of all, the process should start with a detailed anamnesis and physical exam of the suspect patient as there are various situations that may bring confusion to the analysis: classified as Pseudo Cushing’s Syndrome or Cushing ACTH independent (facticia type) Syndrome, for instance. The clinical epidemiology of the Syndrome (prevalence of the clinical findings) and the natural history of incidentally discovered adrenal masses are very important.

It's the Psychiatric Ward so the limit is much lower here. It's left up to the moderator's judgement, and I think this thread is serving it's purpose! :D
As far as the accuracy, I can say that it might not be all that acurate. You probably don't need to contact your doctor, it's more likely that you need to reduce stress

Gotcha.
And yeah, I tend not to pay much if any attention to online tests- just another way to pass the time.

The psyc ward forums aren't as active so we tend to keep most threads open because a lot of threads are months old on the first page. They can still help people so we keep them open for the most part
And I agree with you on depression tests. Take them with a grain of salt in my opinion.

It's just an internet test. It's not a doctor. Don't take it too seriously. It's not entirely accurate. If you're worried see a doctor and get a real diagnosis.
