First Shave...help

My parents told me I needed to shave both face and groin tomorrow... Any help or advise?

Make sure you rinse the shaving cream off the razor after each pass. Go slow to start off to make sure you don't nick anything. You will get faster with more experience. Have your dad show you. He should if they are telling you to shave.

Face I can understand, but groin? That's kind of odd that your parents would tell you that you have to shave your groin area..

i woul dshave your face but not your groin unless you want to ur parents shouldnt even be seeing down so how they would they know if you have done it or not and if they ask to you show them it's child abuse

Best to have your dad or another older guy show you. A razor/shaving cream does a great job, but kind of a hassle in my book. An electric shaver is super easy and fast, but doesn't do near as good of a job.

Maybe they'll just take your word for it about shaving the groin area:confused:

Um. I'll not bother asking why they want or feel the need to tell you to shave your pubic hair.

Chances are that you're fairly young, ie <16, so you probably won't actually need shaving cream because the hair will be really fine. Basically just move the razor in the direction of hair growth.

They're your parents and it's their job to assure your health, that's probably why they're telling you to shave your privates because it leads to good hygiene habits in the future.

Hot water, shaving cream, and a towel. Clean off the razor with every stroke. It's really not that bad.

Thats kinda strange that they told you to shave your pubic area.

Anyway, its not that hard.
I've only used electric, and plan on using a razor tomorrow actually.

Use the beard trimmer to trim it all down, and trim it on the scrotum as much as you can.
Use the other part to smooth everything out. Be careful on your balls, as the cutting head can pull hairs out and cause bleeding.

If you nick yourself, just put some toilet paper on it and dont get discouraged and stop.

I don't understand why they told you to shave your groin though. One of the purposes, if not the purpose, for having pubic hair is so it catches germs and bacteria.

Why did they tell you to shave there?? I can understand the face but not the groin.
