All you animefags get in this thread and talk about anime.

Blah. You can talk about manga too I guess. Post whatever you feel like.

I'm currently reading Dogs: Bullets & Carange, Future Diary, and Apollo's Song. I heard the third one is really depressing, so I had to get this. Depressing shit makes me really happy.

Uh, I'm also watching Ao No Exorcist, which is doing alright. The stupid ass fucking filler episodes bother me and I hope they don't pull some "Courage Punch" ending to the season and actually let it flow with the story. I love the manga and it's probably my favorite series. Why? Because I'm a big fan of character progression. That's my favorite thing to read about in books and shit because I love reading about people, getting into their personalities and stuff. This does it really well and the plot is pretty good.

Also said this in another thread, but got the Ao No Exorcist OST.

/

I finished Uzumaki a while back and now I feel like reading Gyo and Parasyte soon, which are supposed to be disturbing and fucked up. Hopefully they are. Fucked up shit makes me happy.

/

Eventually I'll have to come down to the choice where I say, do I want to buy an ounce of weed or the DVD's of Natsume Yuujinchou? It's a hard decision. If only I could choose both and watch the series stoned. Well, life sucks and than you die.

Uh, talk people.

Huh. I just started reading the manga of Blue Exorcist (or Ao No Exorcist, or whatever you call it) today. Funny coincidence. I really like it so far, but I only read the first volume.

Parasyte is amazing, you should definitely read it. Really dark, bloody, and strangely profound.

Enjoy Blue Exorcist yo. The plot might seem slow, but it's all about progression. I like that they work more on characters and plot than pointless fight scenes.

Yeah, Parasyte does look exciting. I want to start going into Berserk after reading a few of the manga's online, but it's a never ending series and those kind of bother me.

That's a series that parodies other series, so don't be ashamed. I've watched a few episodes and found it alright.

I keep trying to watch the movie Jin Roh. But I start watching movies when I'm really sleepy so Ive never got the chance to fully watch it without falling asleep and waking up a couple hours later and finding it's either at some part I don't understand cuz it's on repeat.

I just finished re-watching Death Note. I just started watching Sacred Seven, mainly because it was the first anime other than Shippuden on the front page of Hulu. It seems alright, as far as the premiere. I think I might start watching Ao No Exorcist also, it sounds interesting.

Edit: Who also is annoyed by American Voice actors? Its the primary reason why I watch all my anime subbed.

Amen.

This is probably my favorite show of the now, though that isn't saying much since I don't watch a lot of TV. I'll probably end up buying the manga too.

Yeah, I started reading it and it's quite a funny fucker. I like it. Uh, I'm reading Solanin now, which is a Slice Of Life 400 page book. Pretty good so far, but it could never be any better than Not Normal, which is easily my favorite manga novel of all.

Fruits Basket is shojo AKA cutesy boo romance. (I don't like it much xD)
If you like action, I'd recommend Death Note or Shiki. If you like gore/psycho, I'd recommend Elfen Lied/Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. Oh and I recommend Black Butler. ^_^ I've never seen Soul Eater, but my friends love it. Soo... yeah. Also there is a bunch of run-on anime and stuff. (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece...etc. Never watched those xD)

Cuz if it doesn't have a plot really then it has an excuse to be that long. (:

Death Note is amazing, but I haven't read the manga in forever. (First manga I read though) Definitely read/watch it.

One Piece has a plot, it just.... has a lot going on. The over-arching plot is augmented by lots of story arcs, which in turn have even shorter story arcs, backstories, and flashbacks augmenting them. Honestly I find it brilliant, and the recent chapters of the manga have been moving the plot a lot faster I think.
It's about Monkey D. Luffy, a 17-year old, chaotic-good boy who sets out to become a pirate. His goal is to find the eponymous "One Piece", a treasure left behind by the Pirate King Gold Roger, and become the new King of the Pirates. When he was young he ate one of the Devil's Fruit, rare fruit that, when eaten, grant the eater incrdible powers but also makes them unable to swim, the Gomu-Gomu no Mi (Fruit of Rubber-Rubber, called "Gum-Gum Fruit" in most dubs/translations) which allows him to stretch any part of his body like rubber (it's much cooler than it sounds). I won't say any more because I don't want to turn this into a full story outline, but Here's the wikipedia page if you want to read more. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Piece)

and yeah, it is somewhat endless, but still, it's managed to stay interesting over this whole time.

Uh huh. Is this another series with a lot of complicated cross-overs or something? Because I just want to watch a show without worrying about the plot being stretched out all over the place.

I'll just check out every show that's been mentioned so far later.

And is this the same Luffy from the really weird topic on HUG?

No cross-overs, but the plot is long enough that it can get somewhat confusing sometimes. (Good confusing though, Oda (the mangaka) connects stuff from the very beginning all the way to stuff that's happening right now, it's brilliant. It's like reading Harry Potter, sure it's really long, but the forethought that went into it is astounding.)

The thread about Wunder's car? Yeah, but that's offtopic.

It's aimed at males, but I know a LOT of girls who love that show. xD It's for everyone!...Well...not for little kids. xD
I suggest you watch the Subbed version.
