Both under and or over weight individuals tend to not live a healthy life, i'd rather just be in the middle ground. Being a weight that i am satisfied with. I feel somewhat a pity for both underweight and overweight people- i see people who are underweight as being extremely self cautious individuals who try to manage what they eat in order to be excepted by society standards(which are low)

But there are alot of other factors that go into being overweight such as the food consumed in your household and the nutrition it holds. How often you have home cooked meals or how often you have fast foods. Your emotional or mental state when it comes to eating.

I say its better being underweight, but both are unhealthy

Although both are unfavourable, gaining weight is physically easier than losing it.

Being overweight, I'd rather be underweight, but not to an extreme. I'd prefer being 20 lbs underweight than 20 lbs overweight, for example.

No extremes 15-20 lbs under would be better than 15-20 lbs over, if I had to select
Being overweight has been known to cause may contributing health issues, diabetes, heart trouble
Underweight- kidney and heart

As stated above... neither are healthy for you long term

Overweight, so then I can work off all that fat.

I'm underweight, by a really long shot.
52,5kg and 1metre+82centimetres for a 14 year-old.....quite low, don't you think?

If I may be so bold as to enquire: What is the actual purpose of this thread?

I am 8 pounds underweight for my age, which I think is just fine. I like my size. But if I had to choose, I would be underweight. Then I could just eat all I wanted (:

I myself am underweight, certainly no fun, probably easier than being obese though. So in this scenario I would chose underweight, I'm sure fast food could quickly right the wrong.

Well, I think being healthy , is the most important. You have to understand that there are different body types as well......

Also, my advice would be, if you start working out, do it for yourself.., do so that you can be healthy and feel good, so so that you can have a nice body.

Don't do it solely because of some girl, or you think you will get lots of girls , because you will be disappointed. You will attract the wrong type of girls. ( in my opinion)

At least for me , doing it for myself is the most satisfying and rewarding reason. Then if the girls come , that is just an added bonus... you see what I am saying? Perhaps not, but that is just my opinion.
