Loss of a pet

My good friend Erin had loss a pet today. Her family had their english mastiff Odey put down today. :( She was really devastated and nothing I said seemed to help. I personally have never lost a pet so I couldn't really relate but it got me thinking, how many of u have lost a pet? How tough was it to deal with?

I lost my dog a while ago, My parents had had her from about 2 months before I was adopted so she was around my entire life when she died, it was really tough for me to get over. But its something we all have to do, you've just botta be gentle about the subject for a little while. Although its not completely the same losing a pet is like losing a family member, some people will take it differently than others.
