So my friend got cancer,so all of us in our click or group or whatever you want to call it shaved our heads in solidarity with him

It got me to thinking, how close or far would a person have to be for you to do this.

Parents, brothers, bff, boyfriend/girlfriend?
Coworkers?

For me if i knew the person intimately or if it was a close blood relitive like my favorite cousins or my brother or someone.

What do you guys think

Cliques. Anyway, when you are sick(around here), you are left alone, to die and weep alone. Fate, they call it.

Defintely family and friends, but really I guess if it was even a classmate or someone at school who wasnt particularly a friend and who was having a hard time and it seemed like a supportive thing to do then maybe even then.

That was a nice thing you guys did!!!!

It's always a great thing to do something like this for someone, friend, classmate or boyfriend/girlfriend :). Even small things can mean a lot to someone going through a tough time. Doing something like you did shows that you really support and care for the person and that you are going to go through every stage of their suffering right along with them.

I'd do it for a family member or a friend. I'm not dating, but if I was and I was very close to the person I would definitely do it for them too :).

I think it doesn't matter how close to the person you are. You're showing you care and that's wonderful. :) It's so nice to hear of people doing things like that for others. Also, it gives your hair a chance to start fresh and grow in all nice and healthy (*grumble*I have bleach damage*grumble*).

I'd likely do it for a friend or family then, if my hair was long enough, donate it to make wigs. Well... actually, I couldn't because my hair has been dyed a lot but I admire people who donate their hair. My friends did it once and they were so proud of themselves for doing something like that.

Good on you.

That was really nice of you guys to shave your heads bald. Like Im Cool Beans said, it shows that you guys care and Id do the same thing too. One of my best friends dad died due to a heart attack like 2 or 3 months ago. We all had to wear black ribbons for 2 weeks to show support and I tried to help him in whatever I could to make him feel better even though it was hard to. and until now i try to talk to him and stuff cuz he feels lonely. I didnt really know his dad a lot but when a best friend looses someone especial, you loose someone special too.
