So I was wondering what the best way to talk to your parents about having a circumcision done? like how do you approach the subject. Also seeing as I'm a 16 year old guy will it have to be a big operation like putting me to sleep or what?
lol I'm kinda tired so I might have worded this really weirdly but if someone could shine some light on how a circumcision operation goes and how to talk to your rents about it that would be great :)

wait until u can be alone with the most understanding of ur parents. wheather that be your mom or dad and just say that i need to talk to u seriously for a minute and tell them whats going on. i'm sure they will be understanding and more than willing to get this taken care of. and im not sure about if they put you to sleep or not, but i'll look into it for you.

Gday Mate TheDoctor......I would just go up and chat to your parents, about this.....when I did the same here too...So get your parents to take yu to the doctors and get it checked out if yu have very tight Skin.......I am Circumised now but it was up to me when I was 14 going on 15.. so now I have no more worries about this.... Yes I was awake, but under a local, which I could not feel it..maybe a liitle bit.. but I have worst..things done to me....

i would speak to your doctor first to see if its right for you because they have other ways to help you such as techniques that you can try at home to help pull it back so before telling ur parents i suggest you consider all of the options before saying hey i want my dick cut off lol

yea, go to doc first. Then if surgery is necessary ask one of your parents to sign the paper. If questions asked, tell surgery is neccessary for you. Mine didn't ask much questions.
I dn't know how they will do, but i was put to sleep. When I woke up, it was done and I didn'tfelt like much pain there. I was asked to keep iceon the area right after and then after doc gave me some instructions I was let out. First days it is best to avoid too much physical activity. Then after a week stiches were taken out. And it looked pretty healed after 2 weeks already. But i managed to jo very carefully already on a fifth day after :D My penishead wasn't used to be exposed all times and that took few months until it felt more or less normal.

Circumcision is not the only way out. Don't mutilate yourself and do something you might really regret when you could have a much simpler treatment with a far lesser risk of complication - ask your GP. Tight foreskin can be treated with steroid creams, gradual stretching or even in last resorts, partial circumcision. Make sure you've talked to your doc and you know all the facts before going through with something like this!

Your comments could easily be taken to be offensive. The OP is asking how to ask his parents about doing it, not if he should do it.
As to the OP, take it up with your parents, make sure you have reasons and answers and if they support your decision. It should be done under general anesthetic. Good luck, but be aware that this is a big decision.

Pretty much just re-iterating what Jon said...
Tight foreskin is quite common and if your foreskin is causing you discomfort in any way, there's always some things you should try.
Gradual stretching is one of the best ways to loosen the foreskin somewhat. This involves gentle pressure each day (in the shower is easiest). I found that cupping water in your hand and then gently pouring it onto the head of the penis, whilst slowly moving the foreskin was a great way to get things moving. This is good practice anyway in keeping a clean and healthy penis. This process can take a short time or a really long time, depending on your foreskin, and remember that your penis is still developping to the late teen stages.
If this shows no improvement whatsoever, then the best thing would be to go and see the doctor. Explain the situation regarding tight/uncomfortable foreskin and tell him what you've done to try and solve the problem. I personally would not even mention circumcision. It is likely that he will either recommend a different method and some doctors will issue a certain cream that can be applied over time.
In terms of talking to your parents. If it gets to the stage of going to see the doctor, I would then discuss the situation with a parent (whichever you would feel most comfortable talking about it to). It is extremely embarassing to start a conversation like this with a parent, but remember that they're your parents! Any problem of yours is their problem too, because they are responsible and care for you. They will want to assist you.
Circumcision is a huge operation and, I'm not sure about all other countries, but is not something that is principal in the UK - only a small percentage of guys are circumcised here. There is much you can try to improve your situation. Circumcision is only the "worst" case scenario, and should not be considered until that time comes. Oh and before anyone bombards this comment and says that they're circumcised or know of someone who has been successfully circumcised later in life, I'm not saying that circumcision is wrong or should not be practised. I'm saying that there is no point in rushing into a life-changing operation without proper assessment. This is valid for any operation, not just circumcision.
Hope this helps.

I've talked to my mom about it plenty but I decided to keep my skin I think its cool
. You can also try creams and stuff to lossen your foreskin but it you don't like it .. just come up to your parents and tell them how you feel. I'm sure they're understand

Sorry, if someone is claiming to want circumcision simply because their foreskin won't retract without seeing a doctor or looking up treatments for tight foreskin, I'm not going to recommend how he goes about getting one - it's dangerous and unnecessary mutilation of the body; I see no need for it and am as entitled to an opinion as you are. Please don't back seat moderate, it doesn't look too good.
I'm agreeing with Union here.
