So I don't live with her, I hardly talk to her, she's in practically no part of my life, and I only see her only four five times a year, or sometimes more.

But, apparently, she thinks it's okay to drop my kid sisters off at me and my aunt and great grandmother's house for two days while she takes a vacation with her boyfriend or wherever.

So without even asking me if i would okay babysitting them for that long (which is usually the case when they come over...) my aunt just like that says sure!

I feel the respect emenating off them, don't you??

anyway, anyone know/have any suguestions on what I'm going to do with them? How to keep them busy? and, particularly, How the fuck do I keep them out of my things????? They are around 8 and 6 I think

Keep your stuff locked in one room (make sure you have a key) Works for me, and I'm OCD and germaphobe so I would call it effective.

Keeping them busy should be easy(ish) if you have a TV. Just let em roam the back yard and use the TV, give them some stuff to play with.

What to do them? Feed them (Do I even need to say that) take them on a short walk through the neighborhood, play with them a little.

I think that'll work. Hope this helps ;)

Oh babysitting... the fun of watching pure terror in the form of small humans...

Actually, I love watching kids.

Thing is, you need to keep them entertained and have plenty of ways on hand to do so. Most little kids can be easily distracted or easily absorbed. If they can be easily absorbed into something, TV is the way to go but I once babysat a girl who switched activities every few minutes. It worked to put a movie on in the background and have a few things lying around to keep her busy.

Also, the backyard or park is your best friend. Tire them out early and you're all set for the rest of the day. A good couple hours outdoors will make them a lot calmer when you get home and it's easier to keep an eye on them.

Good luck! Also, VM me if you need any help. :)

EDIT: And games! Energetic games can sometimes get them hyped up but they'll get tired eventually. Most kids of any age love the animal game. Pretend to be an animal, guess the animal... etc. I have a six year old cousin that absolutely adores the game.

I'm not the greatest with kids, but if you have drawers you can put your stuff In I'd suggest use them, then bind them shut with belts etc.
